Just message or reply to a someone, write something along the lines of "here's your money, dog," and click the Attachments paperclip icon. You'll see a new option among the expanding icons: a dollar sign. Click the dollar sign, and you can send funds straight from Google Wallet. You can literally attach money to an email. How cool is that? EDIT: In other news, Larry Page [Google CEO] wants to 'set aside a part of the world' for unregulated experimentation In response to a question about reducing negativity and focusing on changing the world, Page noted that "the pace of change is increasing" and said that "we haven't adapted systems to deal with that." Specifically, he said that "not all change is good" and said that we need to build "mechanisms to allow experimentation."

OMG Google is now an unlicensed money transfer thingy and must be stopped!  Where is the DHS? They need to seize google's offshore bank account(s) ASAP. Because tehorrism and for the childrens. |

I think it's a good idea actually. I currently pay rent with Dwolla, but that was complicated as hell to explain to the receiving party and it takes forever. And now they are shutting down business with Gox so I might abandon them.

That is a great idea actually! haha It totally is. You can fund Google Wallet with a debit card - I assume an anonymous card will work. I'll try it out once the option to send money shows up in my attachments icon. |

I think they're more likely to acquire Ripple or create their own front end for bitcoin, than to create yet another digital money form. Why reinvent the wheel? Ripple is far too divisive though. I suspect they know that, and hopefully they stay away from it. |

This is fantastic. Any way, regulated or not, that makes sending and receiving money easier is a good thing. Bad guys will side step or anonymize to get around regulation, good guys will have an easier means of transferring money. This is just good for everybody, all around.
