HUGE BTC rise and XRP dip

So today the price of Bitcoin was $2900 and it has rose to $3140 within 3 hours and on the other hand XRP was 0.000063 btc and had a huge dip to 0.00005500 btc. The price fluctuations were good and i hope traders made profit from it.
I am thinking to make a long term investment in Ripple. Can somebody suggest me is it a good investment and where to store the coins.

We dont know but this thing is really possible that people might already switch to BTC after dumping their BCH as of now which its really good to see that the price of BTC have already break the 3000 barrier and i was little bit surprised for this thing to happen because i did expect that 3k price will be on next weeks or month but now it did already reach out. This is the new ATH as of now on bitcoins price.

It could be partly due to that. However, Bitstamp didn't pay out Bcash, and has stayed in lock step with Bitfinex. The speed of the rally and the low volume looks like a short squeeze.

But then again, we consolidated for quite a while below the highs, so there could definitely be room to run here, just based on supply/demand considerations. Time will tell...

Yes, this is only the logical explanation for now. Selling BCC to BTC or BCC to altcoins that is why you we are also seeing a price increasing in the altcoin market as well. BCC is on the downward trend while BTC and altcoin up. Its no surprise that people would simply dump this altcoin and stick to bitcoin market. Maybe just now, people are claiming BCH specially for those who have waited until everything has settled down. However, they have lost because the value is going down. But hey is free coins only so we will take it.

ripple Total Supply is 99,994,523,265  so i don't think you invest here. You can invest on Waves platfrom. its huge potential coin now a days. Also you can invest on Patientory (PTOY) it has been pump 15.79% from last night. if you want you can also invest on ripple but is not potential to me.

I think ripple does have the potential but its going on in down trend nowadays. It has a better scope of rising in future . I think i can invest in waves but how much do you think I should invest in it and for how much months. What do you think about investing in waves for short term period ?

ripple can be a good investment for you, don't forget to make investment in other coins too like litecoin, etc because I see this coin is good for long term investment. although I know the price fluctuations is always there but at least if you have another coins, you can make more profit too.

I don't know where to store ripple coins except in the market exchange or maybe you can visit in ripple website and read the info or asked them is there any offline wallet for ripple.

ripple can be a good investment for you, don't forget to make investment in other coins too like litecoin, etc because I see this coin is good for long term investment. although I know the price fluctuations is always there but at least if you have another coins, you can make more profit too.

XRP is far superior than many other coins, its a great system and block chain.XRP and litecoin even are so much faster and cheaper bitcoin. So, it good for short or long term investment now. I use bitstamp, i don't know better service than bitstamp to buy and store Ripple.

Ripple does not provide any cold wallet or offline wallet, you can trade it on bitstamp, kraken and the number of exchange supporting XRP have increased during the last weeks. (see:https://ripple.com/xrp/buy-xrp/)

For return of investement, I think you must to wait 1 year or more for XRP. It will takes time and  a big difference between XRP and the other coins (execpt  maybe BTC), is that Ripple is already used (or under testing) by the real life = banks.

BUT something important, there is a difference between Ripple network (who will probably replace SWIFT in few years) and  XRP who is the "ripple money". XRP is not mandatory to use Ripple network (for banks). Future will tell us what is the XRP potential. My opnion = good !
On my side I'm expecting to have it one day around the same value as the USD / EURO (in 1 or 2 years). Some people are telling around 10USD/ EUR... We will see...

You will read a lot of people saying bad thinks about ripple because all tokens are managed by the Ripple company...Mining is not possible, but in the other side, it's a real company, stable and with a very good network !

Not just ripple, I do see most of the altcoins are finding downfall whereas bitcoin is trading strongly above $3200 levels as segwit implementation might have brought back investors and their confident into bitcoin's future. I guess bitcoin may touch $3500 this week and I am not sure what is going to happen with most of the altcoins.

Till some six months back, crypto market was working this way like when bitcoin goes up and altcoin go down. I guess that kind of trend is back but we cannot say how long this trend will last.

I think Ripple is a good investment based on its total supply in the coinmarket and because of BTC's sudden rise currently mostly altcoins now are dumping so it is a good time to buy altcoins now and Ripple too if you are investing on that. I have invested in Ripple for a couple of months but when it dumped hard I let go of my Ripple coin. Now I want to buy them again when it dips lower.

Yes you can buy ripple now that bitcoin core has when as high as $3200 this morning. Ripple is deep now against bitcoin and if you buy it now you will make higher profit if you sell when bitcoin deep.

The downfall of altcoins on market in today just by Bitcoin increasing and breakout to highest price in this year. But this is just correction price on market, you can see some altcoin although calculated with Bitcoin is decreasing, but if use USDT, you can see them increasing as Monero, Stellar.

Hopefully it proves to be a good investment as i also have quite a  number of xrps stored for long time holding. Ripple has been quite weak for thw last few months but there are still a lot trusting it will surge. It's been around for quite some time now anyways and for me it's one of the altcoins that i'd depend on. Hopefully that pays off.

Ripple Labs seems to have removed the Ripple client; I used it years ago (back in 2013), but it seems to have been removed from https://ripple.com. I'm not even sure how to hold it anymore outside of exchanges like Bitfinex or Poloniex.

Another problem with XRP is that one only needs very little of it to transact virtually forever with the Ripple ecosystem. It doesn't have a value proposition like Bitcoin, for example. Yet another problem? Ripple Labs controls the servers... so they decide what is valid and what is invalid. It doesn't provide the value nor security that other blockchains provide.

You can go with livecoin and poloniex if you want to do long term investment into ripple. These are very stable exchangers. However it is jot advisable to put money on exchanger for long term. Try saving it on the wallets instead.

Bitcoin hike was due to after fork effect and this was suppose to happen due to tremendous investment volume as most of the people were waiting for it. It has dropped and people took advantage of buying it meanwhile. Now as the bitcoin rises its time people will be waiting for its huge dip. This cycle will keep going on unless and until there is permanent hold which will never come for bitcoin. Lets keep it that way and save our coins.  Ripple is good opportunity now.

Some altcoins, has been deeping as people interest lot in convert btc, since 1 august, price going increasing fast up.
Maybe it would be discount day for altcoin to buy back, i believe next week would be all positive trends.

This is a pure coincidence bitcoin isn't affliated with any of the altcoins this is purely a coincidence and it is not knlyonly ripple there are 20 more coins who's fell that doesn't mean you will compare it with bitcoin. The normal price of ripple is 0.25$ and currently it is 0.18$ it's not a big difference. Litecoin has also fallen that doesn't mean it happened because of bitcoin
