In Startling Reversal, Scientific American Counsels People to 'Chill Out' over Global WarmingThe essay, penned by John Horgan, the director of the Center for Science Writings at the Stevens Institute of Technology, analyzes two recent reports by "ecomodernists" who reject climate panic and frame the question of climate change and humanity's ability to cope with it in radically new terms.
One of the reports, a work called "Enlightened Environmentalism" by Harvard iconoclast Steven Pinker, urges people to regain some much-needed perspective on climate, especially in the context of the overwhelming material benefits of industrialization.
Pooh-poohing "the mainstream environmental movement, and the radicalism and fatalism it encourages," Pinker argues that humanity can solve problems related to climate change the same way it has solved myriad other problems, by harnessing "the benevolent forces of modernity."
Separating himself from environmentalists who seem to detest modernity, Pinker asserts that industrialization "has been good for humanity."

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Now it is spring but the temperature is very low like in February) I don't see any warming.
Here in Delhi, February used to be very cold, and the summer season used to start from the first week of April. But things have changed. This year, the winter season was over by the 2nd week of February and the summer season started by the first week of March.

Take a look. GW scientists, themselves, say that they don't know what warmer Arctic weather has to do with the cold snaps, even though they say it does. Sounds like evolutionists who say they don't really have any underlying reason for evolution.
Alarmists Resurrect Theory That Global Warming Is Making Winters ColderThe study, published in a "Nature Communications" January 2018 issue, claimed historical data showed an East Coast cold snap is two to four times more likely when the Arctic is abnormally warmer than when the pole is colder. It's not a widely accepted theory among climate scientists, but the study's made the rounds in the media, touted as more evidence man-made warming is making U.S. winters colder.
The study "basically" confirmed "the story I've been telling for a couple of years now," the study's co-author, Rutgers University scientist Jennifer Francis, said. "This is no coincidence" and that "it's becoming very difficult to believe they are unrelated," Francis, who's regularly cited in the media during intense cold snaps, added.
...
More importantly, the authors “have not offered mechanistic explanations for these relationships” but instead try and argue “our findings are consistent with previous studies linking a warming Arctic with extreme winter weather in NH mid-latitudes,” they admit.
The authors basically admit they are not testing any hypothesis; they are just running the numbers and looking for some sort of correlation between Arctic warmth and cold snaps in the northeastern U.S. and Europe. Anybody who thinks that global warming is bad: 1. is missing out on the need we have for a climate that allows for use of currently cold lands; 2. doesn't understand that we need more moisture in the atmosphere to help recover deserts like the Sahara; 3. hasn't seen the science of carbon dioxide, and the fact that plants need it to grow. If there is global warming, it is good. However, odds are that people don't have anything to do with it. Rather, it is sun activity that controls it.

Ex-Nasa Scientist Refutes Claim That Climate Change is Just a Hoax
Wow.. vote this guy for president! He’s proving to be smarter than the children running most governments. An article from The Guardian discusses how Ex-NASA scientist James Hansen, who gave a climate warning in a Senate testimony in 1988, says “real hoax is by leaders claiming to take action.” Hansen also says the world is “failing miserably to deal with the worsening dangers." Conservatives along with Donald Trump have argued that climate change is just make believe, but Hansen says that the relevant hoax today are the leaders claiming to take action on the problem. Hansen tells The Guardian. “All we’ve done is agree there’s a problem…We agreed that in 1992 and re-agreed it again in Paris. We haven’t acknowledged what is required to solve it. Promises like Paris don’t mean much, it’s wishful thinking. It’s a hoax that governments have played on us since the 1990s.” So in summary, the world is in denial about how much trouble we’re in. Source: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/jun/19/james-hansen-nasa-scientist-climate-change-warningClimate change is real. It has happened for thousands of years. But we are still here as a species. Not only are we too weak to do anything about it, when we have global wars like we have been having lately, we are definitely too weak. In fact, we should be stopping the wars to reduce climate change. Other than that, it would be better to let nature takes its course than attempt to chnage something that we have no control over. After all, it is the sun that causes most of the climate change.

Global warming is real, and scientists are finding ways to control it's effects. I just came across an article on Medium and thought of sharing it with you guys. It says scientists are looking into virtual reality into preserving what will be left. Here's a quote from the article "they are using virtual reality to create an immersive digital experience of their homeland for future generations to enjoy." So even when the world is crumbling before our eyes, VR can help create a world where life can continue. source: https://medium.com/@LUCYDLTD/virtual-reality-is-now-being-used-to-control-the-devastating-effects-of-climate-change-939722322e46

The Next Ice AgeA glaciation would present a serious problem for survival of our present civilization, akin to a nuclear winter that many worried about 30 years ago.
Nuclear winter is all fantasy, of course; but ice ages are for real.
Natural warming of the Earth reached a peak 65 million years ago. The climate has been generally cooling ever since. Antarctic ice sheets started growing 25 million years ago. In the last 2.5 million years, the Earth entered the period of Ice Ages [the geological name is The Pleistocene] and has been experiencing periodic glaciations where much of the land was covered by miles-thick ice sheets.
There have been about 17 glaciations, each lasting approx. 100,000 years, separated by short inter-glacials lasting about 10,000 years.
We are approaching the likely end of the present warm inter-glacial, called The Holocene. It's time to prepare for the next glaciation to see how we can overcome it – or at least postpone its onset.

here in our country(the Philippines) the signs are pretty evident i should say. the patterns of rainy months and summer slowly adjusts. If it is hot it becomes soooo hot and it is very cold if it is raining not like the usual temperature. then i could say that the sudden rise of those affected of heat stroke could also be a proof of climate change which is a result of global warming.
I got news for you, climate isn't about "how you feel" or "how hot you are." The Earth doesn't care how you feel. Climate change isn't about fixing the weather so you feel good, and lots of natural weather is really miserable.

With rising requests comes new advancements. With rising advancements comes the agony of our tendency. For instance, individuals have been carrying on with a top of the line life, they need top of the line furnitures, seats so great they dont need to sit on it. Such a large number of trees are being died just to give the firniture we need. Here in the philippines, metro rail transport framework prepared for the dead of many trees. So envision that incident in the mountains. A dangerous atmospheric devation is genuine. We should plant increasingly and moderate what we have cleared out.

Very real. Already active the glaciers are melting and we are running out of fresh water in the world. Everyone jokes that they say that this, people have long learned to desalinate water. The fact that such equipment is very expensive, and far all will be able to afford a SIP of clean water.
This is incorrect. It's impossible for the world to run out of fresh water, because there is a cycle of hydrology. Evaporation, then rain, then streams and rivers, then lakes, then the oceans. This will not be affected by climate changes except of course ice ages. Regionally, conditions can change, but not world wide. Certainly water supply systems for cities can be overwhelmed by rising population.

Essentially water just gets recycled through its natural system. But we do waste fossil fuels and energy transporting water which is a much bigger concern.

One way to look at it, it takes energy to move and purify water, to get it to where people are in the amounts they need. So any move toward "green energy" which is far more expensive than fossil fuel, instantly creates a water shortage...

If you think that global warming is a hoax and just a figment of our imagination better think twice. You don't need to be a science geek to proved that it does exist and I don't need to explain it scientifically. All you need to do is go outside.-Observe. It is not about questioning reality, it is about how reality does what we observe. So yes, global warming exist.

Its hard to believe some people don't believe in global warming, because it's clearly happening. I feel like they get caught up on semantics and argue things like 'this always happens in the history of earth' but refuse to acknowledge the reality.

Yes it's real global warming summer global cooling winter < changes all the time .. But is it doing something to our planet I wouldn't know all I know is the media would spread lies for more monies .. The media think we are their fools to tax and spread bullshit for monies what i will say YES it's good to make things that don't spew out bad gas that can have an effect on our health BUT is the earth suffering .. I know it effects us humans because go a stick your mouth around an exhaust pipe and see how healthy it is OR run a pipe into your car from the exhaust pipe and sniff the gas you should feel really healthy ?.. So yes it is effecting us as humans but the earth the climate ..BUT yes we should stop sucking oil yes we should like a bike with no oil on the chain peddle the bike and the chain grinds so hard because of no oil .. Now imagine the earths movements ? that oil might make the movement smoother so the earth doesn't grind to hard just like your bike chain .. so if we keep sucking earth blood maybe when it runs out earthquakes will be so much worse..BUT then again i could be totally wrong but i don't think i am .. But then again that is the but but this but that we all have buts but which but is right ..

Their is no global warming i cant belive that people are still beliving that, is so stupid thing that people massively belive without evidance, i think we can clearly see now that that was really one big fat lie and the money from taxpayers was and still going in unknown sources because their is no logic of lowering transmission of dangerous gases in atmosphere, but on the other hand same one make big machinery that contaminate the most.
IPCC has recognised that study about global warming from 2007 was rewrited from some speculation of indian scientist that was writen back in 1999 without any evidance

I'm quite confused when people talk about global warming. Quite often I hear people blame global warming for this summer being hotter than previous. I don't know much about global warming, but is it only responsible for hotter weathers, or cooler weathers as well. I think global warming causes extreme weathers. Weather its real or just a faux, I don't know. I've heard conflicting opinions.
