Hello, for as long as I can remember I've been messaging Poloniex's support team asking them to close my account and let me withdraw my funds with no hope, they just don't reply to me at all, even though in their new terms it says if someone disagrees with the new terms they'd close their acc and send all their funds to their wallet, but they just ignore all of my support tickets. The money I have in my account is all I have and them refusing to let me withdraw it and having it stuck there is just completely stupid.. I hope some of you can help me with this, and hopefully I've put some spotlight on Poloniex.. Thanks. There is virtually zero customer support. It's really unprofessional of them to not even try to help one of probably their bigger clients holding 14 BTC on their site. Did you reset your password, enter your password wrong too many times, or anything that might have triggered this suspension? Also can you link us to the terms and conditions where it says that you are able to just close your account and get the funds? I don't think that you can currently do anything more than just being patient and pray for the best though, trollbox has been removed so you can't even complain there.

Suspending people's accounts without notice and then telling them to contact support. When you do contact support though nobody is able to respond to you for some reason. Can you please let us know where it says that you are able to do it? I don't think it's true personally because then any hacker can close down the account and get the coins out of the account. The whole point of suspending accounts in the first place is to prevent hackers. Take this as a lesson, though. I feel bad for you, but please in future do not store everything you own in an exchange no matter how trustworthy it looks. Take for example BTC-e. A lot of people had the majority of their cyber earnings in BTC-e codes, and the future is quite uncertain.

Nope, I didn't do anything to lead to this freeze, it was completely random . Also this is what I'm talking about "If you do not agree to any of these changes, you may contact support and request an account closure.", I can swear it said something about withdrawing funds but I guess they changed it now. Also, I wasn't holding my coins on there, I was just trading and when I was done, boom, that happened.

This is absolutely ridiculous. No reputable company should freeze customers' money like this. How do they get away with this?
Hate to say it, but situations like this are the reason regulations exist in the securities industry. Also hate to say it, but crypto needs regulation of its exchanges, else shit like this will keep happening unchecked.

Regulations is the worst idea ever it will make things even more worse. We really need this platform and regulated one won't be unique. Even i wish that exchanges gets regulated but understood it will be a hell for all of us , id and address would be a must and other verification. I feel your pain cause I went through the same BS you are going through right now poloniex decided to stop dealing with my country and asked me to provide them my wallets addresses to pay me my money and then close my account their support after that ignored me , and after more than 65 days finally they processed my withdrawal here is my story if you are interested in that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1942358.0so all you can do is waiting , cause I tried reaching them many times and all failed Damn man that took much time.. This is weird i withdrew 1 eth but it didn't process so i sent a ticket and my problem was solved in 12 hours. Maybe you should try again from the base send a new ticket explain the issue don't mention anything from previous tickets and then tell what reply you got. Edit : I understood your issue it is really dumb of you to go and message them you wanna close your account and withdraw your funds instead you could have slowly removed $2k daily you may now have to verify your account to withdraw.

I've been reading a lot lately about Poloniex' inability to process tickets and how they are mishandling deposits/withdrawals of their customers. It is very disappointing that a famous exchange like Polo is having these type of problems that they shouldn't have in the first place. I still have my coins in their exchange and these accusations are making me nervous. Maybe I should transfer them now to other exchange like Bittrex.

Well have they given you any sort of response yet?
It’s been like 5 days now i think, and this is definitely not acceptable behavior from their support team. As someone said above, 44k is no joke here.
As you said i think in the terms and conditions it says that you are able to request an account closure, however if your account is closed then probably you aren’t allowed to withdraw any bitcoins from it. Because if you think about it there is really no point of them enforcing these account suspensions in the first place if they could just let you close your account and let you get the cryptos in your account.
Hope you get a response. Try to reach them on every platform possible. Keep trying to get a response from their support. Other than that you really have nothing you are able to do…
