I just found out this coin and thought that I would start mining but when I tried to download the wallet my Avira Antivirus moved it to quarantine because of "TR/BitCoinMiner.ghfmz", can anyone confirm that this is safe program to use?  Undecided

https://github.com/Kronecoin/Kronecoin/commits/master

The commits are very minimal for a project under development, there's only 1 contributor.  There are no people following the project, etc. etc.

The claim is that they want to allow people of limited means to mine without expensive hardware, but the algo is scrypt which is an ASIC algo, so as soon as anyone with an L3+ points it at this coin the difficulty will rocket undermining the stated purpose.

I'll pass for now, but keep at it.

The wallet is build over other wallets as you can see under "about" virus warns are false positive, the wallet is safe
Litecoin throws similar false positives as well: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/d3b1628f12050582480f13d232ffe5b62caae9d4d7ac42c1559b706a50884818/detection

Yes you are right with an L3+ you can mine our coin but at the actual market values we think no one with an L3+ will mine Kronecoin
if you want to commit something to help us you are welcome.

About mining pool please remember what we wrote into ANN : "Mining Pool is not our business" we have set up two mining pools for testing purposes starting from open source projects. We don't want to develop Mining Pools because there are many around the world and some of them will integrate Kronecoin.

Our testing Mining Pools are :

http://eu1.kronepool.org (also known as http://kronepool.org)
http://us1.kronepool.org

Both runs the same core (https://github.com/UNOMP/unified-node-open-mining-portal)

eu1.kronepool.org runs the payment batch every hour and has a minimum payout of 0.1 KRONE
us1.kronepool.org runs the payment batch every 10 mins and has a minimum payout of 0.1 KRONE

eu1.kronepool.org wallet is visible at http://www.kroneblocks.org/address/KE139CjxoGHH33aG2JKK9QhdL7Pp2Urxms
us1.kronepool.org wallet is visible at http://www.kroneblocks.org/address/KV1FjaLaR4mqVVaAmym4PdAfQ2RPsozyec

3 hours and 0 kronecoin payout with about 500kh/s. i'll stick to this over night and see what happends.

KroneCoin: will the "counter" reset every hour and low miners will loose what they have mined?

hashes submitted will be paid. Hashes counters are never reset. Depending on your hashpower you have to be more or less patient.

I've mined all night with ccminer and GFX card, 6000+ "yes" / shares in ccminer, no payout.
Whats going on!!!!!
http://www.kroneblocks.org/address/KLrGoTY1BYaLiwW8QgZeytSLc3Zmn2W4g7 My wallet address not even known..
On http://kronepool.org/workers my worker address shows up and works at 160 KH/s, but shares dissapear or don't increase.

Very frustrating coin.

im a newbie on mining but i got my kroneCoins late and have a few coins im waiting for. can it be that the currency is new and the supply overpower the hashrate and the payouts/transactions comes later? due to the explorersite the last transaction was 12 hours ago...
so far its fun to mine new coins =)

while i was writing my wallet got new coins and sync.
