No one can really tell if this bull run can be sustained in the long run. Heck we didn't even know how it started in the first place. We can only speculate that those old wallet that is sleeping for sometime and suddenly woke up claim the free coins, BCC, then immediately dump it for profit then quickly sell to bitcoin then put it again to their cold storage. So personally, I would like this rally to continue to a new ATH is the next coming weeks. So I think I would just hold my bitcoins for now whatever happens in the days to come.

Some already expected this to happen and I really am hoping that this would continue to reach up to $3000. Though I would not also be very confident about this for traders because there is always the risk of bitcoin's value surging down again so it would be much better to be extra cautious and careful.

Yes of course, bitcoin will continue to go up as long as ethereum too its because BCC is falling down. Might broke 4000$ by next month and 5000$ by december. Bcc is the way of bitcoin to go even further.

the "rise" will always continue. in other words in the long term price will always rise and be higher as the adoption grows until the day that mass adoption happens and the market reaches the highest price and stability.
the "rallies" stop at some point, take a small step back in correction and then a period of accumulation some times even some FUD and then the next rally begins. this is about a 18-20% rise by the way.

It'll probably calm down a fair amount from here on, for a while at least. That was a pretty intense rally and now investors have more options and potential across the entire market now, so having only small increases in value are highly likely, as the market evens out and investors get back into the swing of things. The fork was pretty intensive to begin with for most investors, and there was probably some uncertainty with big players due to it being the first time such a thing has happened, at least in recent memory.

People are optimistic about segwit locking in and I think some whales are positioning themselves for what I think it is going to be the next pump and that is when segwit finally is activated.

Well, I was out for just one day and when I checked my wallet, BOOM, bitcoin is pushing and past the $3000 mark. I was also didn't expect that after just a few days of the split, bitcoin sudden crashing the BCH competition and getting $3100-$3300 depending on which trading platform you look at.

Yes, we need to be very optimistic and trust in bitcoin market to make another push to maybe $3500-$4000. No one is stopping except for maybe a few negative write ups about bitcoin but I don't see anything coming our way that will pull the price back.

This rally is very much expected even before August 1. Days before the SegWit thing, Bitcoin came back to better value compared to the week before because the market has already absorbed all the FUD spread by many and the market realized that they were just FUD and worthless. The news on BCH or BCC did not dampen the rise of Bitcoin. And so we are already on the post-August 1 time and Bitcoin, true to prediction, soared high breaking up the 3K wall and can even be strongly going towards $3,500 level.

However, as shown by Bitcoin history, it is possible that some corrections can happen and the price can go back to the $2,900 level before surging back again. This is all about demand and supply...am sure that many of those who converted their Bitcoin to fiat have already make some moves to take back their Bitcoin. There is no question that the trend is up and for some more days Bitcoin will follow this trend.

This price rise has been already expected by bitcoiners.Its a little bit late due to fear of hard fork.But bitcoin has managed to come out of the mess.Every one is happy about bitcoin's performance except the BCC supporters.They don't have any interest in bitcoin progress.All their expectations have started to fall down.Bitcoin's market cap has also crossed $50 billion.

More like the other way round: It had a baby (or a sudden sprouting of an ugly Siamese twin) and then the rally came. I thought it would take at least a week before buying pressure mounted but the sell-off probably helped create a demand. I still think there's room for the slow burn that I initially expected. I believe this will carry it all the way to $4,000 by November.

It is a good news that our coin broke 3000$ and I am sure it will continue and will also soon reach 4000$.
But it's baby "BCC" was dumped and just sold to have some free bitcoins and then utilize that bitcoins. Perhaps that might be the reason behind the price for bitcoin going above 3000$

The sudden jerk behind the bitcoin price maybe the new coin "BCC" perhaps because many users sold it to get freeebitcoins. Today the price also crossed 3200$ and it will soon head above 3500$. The hard fork may be the reason behind just a increase in price

I think current bull run might continue till actual date of segwit activation or when price will touch $3500 level. Current pump is really huge so this can't be healthy pump at all. I am expecting some pull back in next few days before another pump rally.

in the past month or so, there has been a lot of negativity in the media regarding bitcoin. the news from all sites were talking about bitcoin splitting into two and things like that. the speculators were saying price will drop hard because of it. and on top of it all, there were a lot of FUD to make everything worse.

all this meant people either sold and got out or kept their money and decided not to invest in bitcoin until things become clear.

now they are crystal clear.
we know that SegWit has 100% support and it will be locked in, in about 1 day. and there is no split because of the 100% support. so the first things that I said (the first paragraph) is now moot. this means all those who sold and all those who had money to invest buy were waiting are coming back now. they are investing all that money back and price goes up. when something like this happens it is also followed by a Fear OF Missing Out (FOMO) and people invest even more. this can mean an even sharper rise upwards and a very big short term profit.
