If you look at the design closely, you will find many similarities with Pokerstars, Fulltilt, WPN and even GG. Nothing is copied but there are many similarities, as we handpicked the UI designs we thought players would like. Big buttons, dark background to play on multiple tables etc.

We have several applications. A downloadable client on Windows, a web based HTML version and Mobile version for Android.
We are working on an IOS version, not sure if we will have it ready before launch, probably by Nov - Dec.

It's a cool name yes, but brings to mind too many unpleasant memories for poker players(UltimateBet) which I don't think your company wants to be associated.

Ok, so I guess I have to address this issue.

So firstly, UltimateBet, besides being a different name, with a completely different logo, with a different software, using fiat currency was a poker brand that had several issues (yes serious issues) almost 10 years ago.

I couldn't bring myself not to use this name. I think players will overcome this, and if not, I might reconsider using this after our initial beta.

Personally, I feel this won't be an issue, but I guess time will tell.

But the memories will come back if the players hear UltimateBit and most of them will not really diversify between Bit and Bet at the end of the name. And they will also not compare the logos or the software used.

The UltimateBet scam is many years old and most players nowadays are indeed not aware about it, but the problem I see is that the operators of poker forums or websites are very well aware and will write an article about you and then their readers will be getting aware as well.

You can be rest assured that your competitors will use this name to bad mouth you!

We will have to wait and see.

There was another US licensed poker room using Ultimate in its name - UltimatePoker
I don't think they had a problem.
I don't think operators will negatively review my brand because of a comparison to an old 10 year old brand
I guess time will tell.
We have put things together which I believe will will make this brand very attractive to Bitcoin poker players. Lets see what happens. Naturally, if we get too much negative feedback then we will have to reconsider. However, so far, I haven't heard any complaints. Afew ppl I know have raised the issue but hadn't thought it be reason enough to negatively impact us.

I was one of the people caught up in the UltimateBet/Absolute Poker scams and that's the first thing that came to mind here when I saw the branding---> Maybe twisting the logo around some would help ---> maybe a twisty script or something. I'll give the site a shot when it rolls out.  Good luck!  Stay far away from creepboy (game-protect) up there....

I'm sure no one tried this game except the owner and his teams, obviously because this is not up yet. Wait next month as they planned to be available for beta testing on Oct 1st. If you want to participate then shot a pm to OP, dont wait till the beta launch as there is limited slots for the beta tester.
