Hi, I was wondering if you could please help me with my below issue:

Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: Electrum 2.9.2
Operating System: Windows 7 x64
System Hardware Specs: 1.9GHz 4GB RAM
Description of Problem: Yesterday I sent all my bitcoins to myself and I saw the transaction go through and after about an hour, the electrum wallet showed i have received the full amount (2088) back in my wallet, but when i check online using BITREF  or the Electrum Wallet Android App, it shows a balance of 0. So I don't really know what is going on and I was wondering if you could please help.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hey impee.

Need a bit more info. Your wallet certainly shows that you have that balance, but it's probably on a different address from the one you provided, which has a 0 balance. The first 5 tx times correspond with the ones made to the address. My immediate guess is that you used several addresses to receive and you also have default change addresses in your settings. When you made the spend, it emptied out the address you provided.

From the Electrum menu, select Wallet > Addresses. It should create a tab with all your addresses in the wallet, with corresponding balances. You should see a sum equalling 2088.73415

It looks like 1Ctc8YzJ6BZ8bNBaEPKG8AKWJ3qwke3nqj is your address, since it has received the last two transactions visible in your wallet. Remember that your wallet can be composed of many different addresses, and is a tool for managing them and counting up all the money! It sounds like your bitcoins are just fine.

When you check your list of addresses, ensure that 1Ctc8YzJ6BZ8bNBaEPKG8AKWJ3qwke3nqj is among them.

Thank you both for your informative & quick responses. As I am relatively new, I was unaware of their being multiple addresses, but it all makes sense and everything looks fine to me now Grin
