I misunderstand the error "You have to be funded before you can grant a trust". How can I become funded or buy some XRP?

Help me to solve that please. I've read forum a bit and figured out that I have to have at least 300 XRP to activate my account. Am I right? Can someone sell some XRP or just send them to me?
