Sorry for the downtime people. All is good now and looks like we've gained a bit of hashrate. Keep it coming

Upgraded to the latest version of the p2pool.

testing now to see how far we are getting Edit ; is it just me or is it not working properly with scrypt-jane? It seems to be regular scrypt mining, even though minerd is using scrypt-jane protocol....

It seems you are right! It works either way. Although twice the speed if you set scrypt-jane. I'll make a note on the p2pool thread.

Bit of shameless self promotion. Bitvolcano yac pool is still open for business and could use a few more miners.

Hello, I've been happily mining on your P2pool for about a week and have been doing very well. I'm still learning and curious about mining and don't understand all the statistical information on the stats page. Is there a site/webpage that explains them? I tried to Google them, but didn't do well in my search. Thanks

Hi there, https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool explains most of it. Note that where it says local, that refers to Bitvolcano as a whole, not your mining. Global refers to the entire P2Pool, those things confused me at first. In other news, sorry for the outages in the last few days. The p2pool software for YAC has become a bit of a memory hog over the last few days. I've rebooted the server for now and I'm on the hunt for a proper solution.

P2Pool modified for 15 second shares instead of 3 seconds.
We are seeing much reduced DOA and memory usage. Daily crashes shouuld be a thing of the past!
