You can probably go with concepts that people are already familiar with. i.e. things like:
taxcoin
socialcoin
welfarecoin

Demurrage is a word that 90%+ of the non-english-speaking world population will have to look up first.

Bitcoin has this problem as well - don't tell average joe about bits and bytes, and the word crypto-currency will be just that - cryptic.

Sometimes I'm not even sure if "coin" is such a good choice or if "money" or something entirely different would be better. Easy stuff like "cyber money". To me, the word "coin" sounds indivisible - which is unintuitive when you tell people about sending 0,0001 BTC.

Maybe simcoin, or (as spoid said) socialcoin.

And I think that you should wait a bit before releasing, with all these altcoins popping up so fast.

I, for one, am sick of altchains with the prefix "coin" thrown on the end.


I hereby suggest "Common CryptoCurrency of the People", or CCCP for short, for this currency.
