Bittrex Unverified User - Be Careful ! 0.025 BTC Withdrawal Limit without Warnin

Hey guys im thinking about creating a bittrex account.  So if i do not have a verified account, how many bitcoin or altcoins can i send to my account to switch for bitcoin or another altcoin like ETH?  I assume back then you could do up to 3btc in trades per day whether btc to ETH or vice versa?  But now its max 0.025 btc?  Can someone confirm this is what is meant by it?

Maybe the minimum amount to deposit won't matter on that since I try to create new and deposit a lot of alts there and they receive my deposits and the only problem I face is when I try to withdraw my BTC and it limit me for 0.02+ a day since my account is not been verified. But when I do little verification on it my limit has been increase and people should do some verification on bittrex to rise their withdrawal limit a day.

That scenario sounds odd. They will take all the money you can send them (deposits), but will not allow you to take it back (withdraw) unless you do in ,025 BTC fractions? 
Something smells fishy. Hope they didnt get hacked and are buying time. Thats the behavior banks do before customers want out of the collapsing bank in 3rd world countries

It is fishy. Especially as their withdrawal fees are so high. So instead being able to withdraw 1btc with one withdrawal fee of 0.001 btc ($5.85 at a bitcoin price of $5850), you need 40 transactions of 0.025, and the fees add up to 0.04btc which is $234

I suppose you could convert to something like doge to avoid the high fees. But it's not ideal.

I'd advise legacy unverified accounts to withdraw their coins before they get limited.

this is wiggly wobbly BS - none of these articles clearly point the exact case when you can not withdraw ANY funds. which is a reality if you don't strip naked in terms of anonymity at least to some degree, which is not ok for crypto. and it is especially NOT OK to accept ANY deposits or let users generate ANY addresses for deposits, unless the fact that you can not withdraw ANYthing unless you get verified, gets pointed out CLEARLY and most visibly on the page. otherwise this exchange is a trap for user funds. you can send crypto there, but you'll get extorted into forfeiting your anonymity if you want it back. basically they take your money without asking who you are, but they won't give it back without demanding an answer.

ASK the question BEFORE accepting deposits. ffs this makes me so mad. this is fraud and I will let lawyers decide if this is ok, currently they hold some of my funds hostage to this trickery too. (but it is a new account, so maybe I will see some other options in 24hrs)

I bet this is not ok legally, well screw it, I am in the same trap right now and I will not give them my personal information unless alongside a lawsuit which will cost them lots and lots of users. once users clearly get presented with the fact that - unless you strip naked in terms of privacy - you will be prevented from access to ALL OF YOUR deposits there. I expect them to change this and point it out very clearly on their website, especially on the "generate address" and "deposit" -related pages.

I already contacted a law-firm and explained what the problem about all this really is.

Most likely not. As stated below, Unverified accounts falls to 0BTC -. 025BTC withdrawal limit, not a fixed .025BTC. And the most important part, It'll be based on your account creation date. Most probably new registered accounts will get 0BTC and the old ones will get .025BTC.

Lol. So what did the lawfirm says? If you're planning to file some legal action on bittrex. It will cost you a lot. Think back if spending lots of money is worth it for your new account.

I don't want to send personal information to a company that doesn't even show who's behind it. I didn't care much before, but after I click ABOUT, I get this:

I don't want to send them a selfie and an unedited copy of my passport (which is something my government warns against!).
It seems like they're just trying to see what they can get away with, many people with small balances will let it slide, which is pure profit for them.

Support system of Bittrex is terrible. My friends didn't  know about withdraw rule and now cannot withdraw. My account withdraw limit is decrease from 3 BTC to 0.4 BTC with any notice.
Hope some whales meet same situation and call bittrex in court.

Poloniex still running until now, when did they shutdown their site? Their daily volume transaction still huge like usual. I hate to say this, but people can only waiting their support ticket get replied because you will never get any reply from Bittrex's support or admin on here.

Yes, same here.

I had a script to withdraw 0.025 BTC everyday and sudently the limit dropped down to 0.

I have some BTC left on it. Basic verification is not working and I'm not trusting a company with this kind of behavior to give them a copy of my ID card.

Same here. Had my LEGACY Account everything worked fine.
Then without warning the account was turned into a NEW account with 0.025 BTC limit.
After 3 weeks limit dropped down to 0. Now I can't withdraw anything.

They also changed their FAQ page. Limit on NEW accounts are 0 now.
I don't think they can't just change their term without giving everybody
a heads up.

Support just says If I want my money I have to do the extended verification process.
As fare as I know BASIC verification only works with US citizens. Basically everybody
outside US has to send a copy of their ID to them. It's ridiculous

Lol, sadly that ain't possible. YOU CAN'T DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT 
You will have always to do the extended verification process then
transfer coins and then send a request to delete your account.

I know it's absolutely insane...bittrex changed their rules overnight
without any warning and that meant we could not get our money
 out and they didn't offer any alternative for us either.
dirty way of scamming people out of their money.

whether bitcoin is money or not money or they have AML/KYC
or not doesn't change any of that. as a matter of fact back in 2014 i
remember Coinbase did the exact same thing but sent an Email to
its users whose accounts were blocked the same way, asking them
for a bitcoin address so they can send them their funds.

simple and clean coming from a transparent and non-scammy service.

I advice EVERYBODY to leave negative feedback for these thieves.
I already did it because Bittrex is treating LOYAL customers like shit.

Still you have an option to withdraw in some other currencies, such as Ethereum for example and somewhere else you can exchange it to bitcoin Ofcourse it is better to verify your account on bittrex for future purpose.

You mean, that Bittrex is only limiting BTC trading or has different limits on different coins? Then it would indeed be simple to bypass limits on Bittrex.

They can delete your account and take your coins.

And the claims they need enhanced verification by US law is bullshit - US law deals only with fiat and only with withdrawals of $2000 in fiat or more in one transaction. Having small amounts on an exchange are not a problem. And cryptocurrency is considered to be an asset in the US like stocks. Just as there is no problem in dealing with stocks, there is no problem dealing in cryptocurrency. Bittrex have invented these rules to seize people's coins.

Sure they can delete your account and take your coins but then they would go into jail for several years.
Proofing transactions is very simple with the blockchain.

Bittrex authority's are completely ignoring customer request and banning people for asking questions where their money is!
I really don't know what to do anymore. Despite going to a lawyer and getting shit done. Takes another 6 month to settle things...
Their claims they need enhanced verification by US law is bullshit because I only have small amounts of cryptocurrency on the exchange and it should not be a problem to withdraw it.
