Hope what little speed I offered helped but after 3 days and over 1000 stales and 0 accepted time to get back to btc. Seems I can get accepts of btc but not on ltc.

Oh man, are you sure you are running cgminer right and adding --scrypt to the way u run it?

I would say no I have only recently got into bitcoin and only a week into litecoin. I have been mining for about a month with little to no knowledge of it other than I earn a few mbtc here or there on an AMD A6-3420m APU and an AMD Radeon HD6520G grafix card on a laptop.

I am using GUIMiner v2012-12-3
No settings as I haven't been able to dig up the right info yet.

well please check out this link then: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150331.0

guiminer designed for scrypt coins like litecoin

you need the correct version for each coin.

the one you have is for SHA256 based coins, like bitcoin.
the one you need, in the link I posted above, is for SCRYPT based coins like litecoin.

We have found our 3rd block but the user is "unknown" in the database. I am attempting to figure out which user found this
block. If anyone has any tips for mmcfe and this happening please message me.

OK. I found the user. It appears to be astralvoid.worker2.

Here is the evidence.

I have stratum running in a logging mode. INFO.
Here is the relevant line:

2013-05-25 16:35:42,382 INFO template_registry # We found a block candidate! 00000000002f8e21d33f38c0f8dc510960ca1b616fcfa4bf0f5d9c58e5dc6d00

I then goto mysql, our pools database server, and look at table shares_history. I do a search for this solution. I say solution
as that is what the column is labeled in the table. This row pops up and I am posting the pieces here in a readable format which
will show the proof.

Block number: 359221
username: astralvoid.worker2
upstream result: Blank (problem here. i am pretty sure that was supposed to be labeled with something. it was not)
solution: 00000000002f8e21d33f38c0f8dc510960ca1b616fcfa4bf0f5d9c58e5dc6d00
time: 2013-05-25 16:35:42

Lets wait for astralvoid to post here and check to see what his best share was. He strikes me as an honest person and maybe he
will even give us a screen shot if possible. He won that last bounty too. Talk about lucky.

FYI: astralvoid posts more on the litecoin forum then here. https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,3674.0.html

Did anyone else have a best share higher then 39 million that would like to dispute this?

I am pretty sure something is not right with accurate payouts. I am seeing some users who should have more.
I am going to investigate this tonight and correct people's accounts. Please bear with me.

I am pretty sure something is not right with accurate payouts. I am seeing some users who should have more.
I am going to investigate this tonight and correct people's accounts. Please bear with me.

We were lucky enough to find another block tonight.

Well I see the bug in the code. But it is 3:30 AM now. I do not have enough time to fix it properly and test it before this
block gets paid out. The problem with the code is that when I use 1,000,000 for last N shares (PPLNS) it goes back way to
far and counts too many shares. That means my friend and I get overpaid and need to take LTC from our accounts and disperse
it accordingly. Since my friend and I mined on the pool during that long bad luck streak we were the ones who got paid to much.
A few others got a bit more but not really worth asking for it back. I will make up for it.

But the bug does not get activated when I use 500,000 for last N shares (PPLNS). It has to do with the $l_bound variable getting
populated with a block number and how far back it is supposed to look. $l_bound is used in quite a few sql queries in the payout code.

I consider the information below to be public. Usernames are on the website, hash speeds, LTC/day, shares in a round, etc...
Anyone who wanted to could gather this up in a rough fashion. I need to make it public so users can compare my estimate to what
they got.. and also see what I am getting for my hash speed in this recent payout. If someone does not like this information posted
here please tell me and I can remove it.

So, for this payout, I see this as getting paid:

totalRoundShares=506153
...
...

Miner Allocated: 49.32870296
Pool Allocated: 0.67129704
Total: 50

Those who mined steady tend to get a bit more. Those who pop in and out tend to get a bit less. PPLNS is like that.
It looks back a certain amount of shares to determine the payout and previously paid shares can pay again.

I owe astralvoid 10 LTC for finding the 3rd block. I did not have a bounty up yet for the 4th block which sathackr found. I need
to think if I owe him something extra or will he just allow me to put a bounty up on the 5th block. So lets see if he busts my balls.

I need to take money from my friend and I and disperse accordingly to other users.
I need to fix the bug and decide if going back to last N shares being 1 million. Or just stick with 500,000.
Please report back how this payout looks.

I apologize for the confusion and need a bit of time to iron it out.

fcmatt

Here is the corrected payouts for block 359221. OWED has been directly credited to your account. Since this is so few users
I did not script it out. So there is nothing to see under transaction history. Refer to this post please. Before I go further I would
like to see comments from pool miners if they consider this correctly paid and fair.

We found another block.

Miners, know right now that, as coded, this pool rewards people who mine steady!!!

I see another aspect of the code that needs fixing since we are using lastNshares=500,000.

So I recommend, if you wish to leave, waiting until a block was solved and then has 120 confirmations.
Over the next 24-48 hours I will be fixing things so we can use a longer lastNshares as well as when a block
is found the payments are based on the moment it is found. Not when it confirms.

It looks like mmcfe has a ton of tweaks that need to be done and do not become obvious until the pool has been
running for a while and some blocks are found. Trying to be honest and open here.

payouts happened automatically with no intervention. please comment if you are not happy for some reason so I can look into it.
top 15 round contributors corrected itself with the payout.
when clicking on a block now takes you to a working litecoin explorer page.
block stats (graph) is now showing zero variance line properly.

I am going to try something a bit different when it comes to a special reward for finding a block.
When the next block is found I will randomly pick 3 users to get 2 LTC each. The user has to be getting
actively paid for the block reward. So that means people who have left the pool are not qualified to get it
unless their shares are still actively being paid.

So I will do an estimate of what people are going to get paid to give me a list of users and their ID values.
I will use the ID value range in my command below. Fcmatt and 4g4g are not included in the prizes.

I will then, at a unix shell, run this command:

#echo $((RANDOM%100+1))
7
#echo $((RANDOM%100+1))
81

That gives me a number between 1 and 100 as an example.

As I run the command I will see if it matches up to a user. If so I credit their account 2 LTC. I then repeat this
until I have paid 3 users.

I feel that this allows users with lesser amounts of hashing power to get something extra for mining with me if they win.
Good luck to all.

I am using a share submission value of 63. What were you mining with? How far away are you from the USA?
I would like to figure out why your rejected rate was so high? Are you using --scrypt in your cgminer config?

One of my miners running cgminer show this as stats:

Accepted: 58077 Rejected: 584

That is 0.01% rejected/stale shares connected to the stratum port.

stratum-mining bug has been patched and now restarted.
see this thread: https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,4002.0.html

my file looks like this now:

    def diff_to_target(self, difficulty):
        '''Converts difficulty to target'''
        #diff1 = 0xffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff0000
        diff1 = 0x0000ffff00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
        return diff1 / difficulty

you might have seen a 1-3 second interruption. hopefully all miners continued mining happily.

and we found a block a bit ago!
