fyi to others, sathackr msg'd me. He went off for a bit to chase down some other alt coin for a bit more profit. He said he would be back.
I am going to try to get other users to come on board and it would be great if others can try to do that also.

I will come up with a plan to attempt this. As you can guess it means spending LTC to do it ;-)

My friend and I went 3 weeks just by ourselves. We hoped to find a block before announcing the pool.
In the end I had to offer 20 LTC to the first block finder.

Running a pool now days is not a get rich quick scheme. It actually costs money.

I simply hope that my pool is stable, has fair payouts, and good to average luck. If it has that it should do well.

bumpity bump. this is a stable pool, fair payouts (lastNshares=500,000), and looking for new miners.

Pool had a problem with mysql which needed a restart. This caused other daemons to get high load which also needed a restart.
Short story: pool had a problem for 10 minutes.

Things are looking better. Checking each of my miners now.

I am going to restart stratum fast. Downtime should be 2-3 seconds.
I need to get the final code patch change submitted by "pooler" to the code I am using.

While doing some disk access testing I had a test program hang using a lot of I/O.
I could not kill the process so I rebooted.

During the reboot I modified my /etc/fstab file to optimize my ext4 filesystem.

The downtime was several minutes and the pool is back up.

I apologize for the downtime but my I/O is now not being chewed up by the overly conservative settings on my ext4 filesystem.
