This is a bet between me and cdog.

If MtGox adds Litecoin as a tradeable currency before August 1st 2013
AND LTC trades at $5 or more before September 1st 2013

Then I pay cdog 50 LTC

If this doesn't happen then cdog pays me 100 LTC

My LTC address, should I win: LKUN5Pb7jdmotcQfa517iZw6vxPkyaykRm

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If you'd like to quote this with agreement and also post your LTC address, then we are in business  Cool

Wow 2:1 for this bet. Thats shocking. I'd honestly put this at 1:1 with both parts of the bets having to win for cdog. Good luck to both of you.

2:1 were the terms that cdog proposed.

I actually believe - and hope - that he will win the bet. This is a way to hedge my position on LTC  Smiley

Here is the origin of the bet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180860.msg2154505#msg2154505

Well good luck to both parties.. I'd probably recommend using an escrow to be honest.

We kept the bet small so we dont have to bother with that. All I know for sure is, if I lose he doesnt have to worry about getting paid.

And if I win and dont get paid? Well if all my LTC are above $5 and going higher, life will be pretty good anyway Grin

I have been trusted with a lot more than 50 LTC. Also, I believe that cdog will pay.

Had it been for more we would have used escrow.

I confirm that cdog has sent me the 100 LTC...  MtGox apparently have a lot on their plate!

While escrow is a great idea, it's good that two people can come to agreement and trust each other to follow through.

Thanks, cdog - feel free to let me know if you want to make any more bets  Smiley
