If you read previous comments of people you will realize that you as well as many other people have lost money. People have stopped complaining even that's why you see rare bump in this thread. This project was left long time ago but it took time for people to accept the reality. Team members stopped using their accounts and disappeared or may be are here with new identities.
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

*Bump*

Man...someone could just write down all those usernames in this topic and would have a list of people he could scam for thousands/millions, who would just accept it without any noise.

I lost my money in exchange Tangerine ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=345353 ).

I still check in once in a while. Looks like it turned out to be a scam or something. I guess I don't care that much though, since all crypto pretty much died after January (if you were invested before that anyway). Got nervous and sold most of what I had early January anyway. Everything tanked. Pretty much every ICO I invested in has become a joke or scam in one form or another. I did make a lot of money selling ethereum for over a grand. But even that feels like a pyramid scheme; I feel like I just legally stole money from people.

Anyway, I'm thinking most legitimate companies are going to be privately funded. Crypto just paved the way for gimmicky scammers, not really for potential new business. Economics is depressing and crypto doesn't seem to be the great thing it was made out to be. Maybe it'll have a more refined and practical use in the future.

The scammers have (maybe) resurfaced.

Preface: as a security and privacy precaution I'm always using different email addresses for every website I register at. They are random and unguessable, and all forward to my primary inbox.

A day ago or so, I received an email advertising an ICO called Aircraft.Travel to the email address I registered at Mandarin with. I never used this email for anything else (that's the point of using one-time addresses). I have never received anything to that address that wasn't Mandarin/Tangerine related. I have never heard of this AIrcraft.Travel thing, and never subscribed to them.

Therefore at the very least, those Aircraft.Travel guys somehow has access to email database of Mandarin/Tangerine. My friend who was a fellow investor in Mandarin, also received their email.

However, they do not seem to list anyone from Tangerine team on their website (although they do have a couple of Russian names).

So, just throwing this out here. Thoughts?

PS: They have their own thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4935341.340

hmmm, I got the emails too.

My guess is they probably sold their investor database or something. Or maybe they are involved in it, but know not to be named as part of it. Maybe they bailed Tangerine for this.
