I had a topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205367) that silently disappeared.

That topic had a small contract in its title. According to that contract everybody who read the post or replied to it had to send 0.01 btc to my bitcoin address within 24 hours.

That topic received over hundred views and several replies.

And today I see that there is no such topic. Where did it go?

Update: also my post count is 21, but I can see only 18 posts (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=88047;sa=showPosts). Where are the remaining 3?

I deleted it, it still "exists" in the trash can, so it still counts towards your post count, you just can't see them.

Edit: Also, by reading this post you agree that it was okay for me to remove that thread. Problem solved  Roll Eyes.

I thought this forum is against censorship, and even likely scams are not removed.

But my post was honest. I worked so hard to create that little piece of art with a contract in its title, and you deleted it!

Some people probably liked it and were going to reward me for my efforts during 24 hours.

Was there any reason to delete that post thus causing damage to my writing business?

Thanks for your reply!

The thread is you begging for BTC pretty much.  There's no point to keeping it around, if we do everyone else will post them too.

The amateur anthropologist in me is completely mesmerized: is there a new way of begging for Bitcoins?

Maybe one of the moderators with the access to the trashcan subforum could copy-paste the orginal plea? Just give it what Gawker Media blogs called "disemvowelment": delete all the English language vowels.

I beg you: please do that for science, just this one time, in a separate post in this thread, so that bitcoinator will not be able to reemvowel it.

I hope you send 0.01 btc to my bitcoin address ADDRESS REMOVED within 24 hours.

I could have asked for 100 btc or more, but probably nobody would like to pay that much. However if you like this post, you are welcome to pay more.

I know there are probably many scammers here who read it for free. But you are not a scammer, are you?

Thanks for reading!

Heh, I wonder how well I would do if I sat on a corner with a sign that reads, "Read this sign ONLY if you agree to give me $0.25 after reading it."

My post had the contract in its title. Visitors had to express their consent to accept the offer (i. e. to click the link, to read the content and possibly to reply). It was fully under their control, nobody made them doing so.

Similarly proprietary software makes you accept their agreement before continuing installation. If you don't agree - don't click and don't get access to that digital content. What's the problem?

That was not begging, that was an offer to sell a digital content embedded in that post. It seems to be relatively legitimate business (in comparison with many scammy posts on this forum).

I consider it to be not only a business, but a piece of contemporary art too. I thought that creative people are welcome here, and they won't suffer from corrupted police, unfair censorship and oppression.

So please restore that topic!

Thanks in advance  Kiss

Can we send the OP back to Newbies please?  He needs to lurk more.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

It was begging, because you offered nothing in return except exhortations to send money. If you want BTC, offer something of value to the community. You'll note that most of the old-timers have addresses in their signatures. These are "tip jars." If someone feels you have provided value, they will respond in kind.
