Hello all, I've been into Bitcoins for a while now, but my current computer just can't mine efficiently. I've been thinking about investing into the new butterfly labs mining rigs, (the 5 gh/s model do to financial reasons) and I was wondering what you guys thought about them. Thank you for the responses.

They work, and BFL is shipping them out, albeit slowly.  You'll need to decide for yourself if you are willing to get in line and wait for one.  Read the Custom Hardware subforum and you'll get many people's opinions regarding BFL.

BFL seems like a scam, I wouldn't trust them. The only ASIC reliably shipping is the ones from asicminer by friedcat, the problem is they are costly and its very uncertain if you will make your money back. I would wait for cheaper options to become available in the coming weeks/months
