What do you all think about this single-slot video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681413143 ?  I believe it might be the most powerful single-slot card on the market.  It would make it easier to cram 3-4 of them onto a motherboard and still retain some semblance of cooling.  Here's the manufacturer's website product overview: http://www.powercolor.com/Global/products_features.asp?id=342#Specification and http://preview.tinyurl.com/3g23bty

By the way, I'm new around here.  Hello everyone!

Oh, no,

I just got a HD 5570, because I had only a single slot left. Ok, its cheaper than the 6850, also really slower  Undecided

Maybe we should add a column to the wiki, for one slots?

Just be careful with the cooling, Rainyn, and welcome too.

it will take a long time for that 6850 to pay for itself, seeing as it costs $230 for approximately 200 MH/s.

Yeah you're right.  I guess I got caught up in the cool factor of being single-slot.  No need paying for aesthetics when you're basically creating a machine sweat shop.

It is definitely no the most powerful on the market, and from what I've found, it isn't close to the top of the leaderboard for MH/sec per $.

I know about http://bitminer.info/
Is that where you're getting your leaderboard?  I would really like to see such a chart.

Mh/J is how many Mega Hash per Joule of electricity.... basically how energy efficient the GPU is, you can have ultra fast GPU, but crazy power hungry electricty wise, some people who live in area with high electricity need to take that cost into account to see if its profitable.
