Just a quick post - saw this on reddit and I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion over it. Perhaps swamped by the founders fund and webmoney news?

Sounds like they got their shit together... and New York based.

EDIT - ok maybe they don't have their shit together, but they talk the talk... in other news... apples and water https://btcglobal.net/

Having their shit together usually means posting details without ambiguity on a blog, publishing documentation on the site and releasing a functioning product to the public first hand.

So no they do not have their shit together.
But it's good to have another exchange, even if it's full of bullshit and act-if professionalism.

Oh btw is this Max Kaisers Brainchild?

Yep.  If they had their shit together they would be addressing the MSB licensing issue up front.  Right now that is the single most important thing people will be looking for from a US based exchange.  Also, no information about the company that runs it or the people behind it.  Step it up guys.

I don't think they need to address any of the Fincen or MSB regulatory issues.

From their press release:

Quote
...to provide an advanced exchange for the trading of digital currencies.

I've noodled around some on their site, and while Litecoin is mentioned specifically, I see no mention of USD or any other national currency.

It looks to me like they're just going to try and get every internet/virtual currency under one roof, and trade them against each other.

 Huh Huh Huh

We can't know since they don't give us actual information, just marketing B.S.

Wow, they actually have a phone number and a Google Maps view of their location at the bottom of the site.

Not saying they're automatically legit, but that is a good step for an exchange.

Just a couple blocks from Andy Warhol's old pad - and four from Max's.

ok, hands up, I simply read the words and fell for the marketing... but the fact that they put that much thought into those words spells professionalism already as far as I'm concerned. Beats spelling mistakes on home page, or a random picture of a woman with glasses and wiki quotes from 2011.

We shall see what they come up with. Thanks for the comments.

Well hopefully that means you see it too.

I've known about this site for weeks now and whenever I tell people on here they don't seem to see the significance behind this particular company.
As far as I can tell, this company has it sights set far higher(new switzerland, 300k+ per sec trade system, prison vault, government deals, pre-IPO share offerings) than any bitcoin company I have seen yet.

Nobody seems to care. This is big, I don't get it.

I checked it out and it looks promising. Will be keeping tabs on this one. Do you know anything about the guys on the site? Do they post in this forum?

Well yeah this thing screams "insecure" and "made in 5mins or less". Companys that know alot about HighSpeed Trading should probably stay away from developing webapplications.

Which particular company?
"Fundamental Interactions Inc."? Google it up for yourself and see, i cant find much reviewable information about them. I cant even find one customer.

Nobody seems to care. This is big, I don't get it.
This is why they invested a whole 25mins to create a website? I would be slow at that, but could do it in an hour. Thats why nobody cares.

They have posted once about a video testing their trade engine, but other than that no. Other than what it says on their team page https://btcglobal.net/info/team I don't know much. I have looked up some of the team members, and as far as I can tell they are legit with histories in other companies.

wayner: No shit they don't have any customer reviews, they haven't launched their company yet.

I think bobdude as referring to this now, I personally find this site very interesting... unless I'm falling for marketing again (which is likely):

wayner: No shit they don't have any customer reviews, they haven't launched their company yet.
Company Website online since 2years+ and showed several redesigns inbetween and still no customer. Just launched. Bullshit.

Infact the marketing bullshit on their website claims:
Quote
"Powered by Fundamental Interactions inc. 'Virtual Exchange' deployed by some of Wall Street's largest proprietary trading firms and institutions"

Well yeah this thing screams "insecure" and "made in 5mins or less".
Could you tell me to which website you refer here?

Both of them are made by the same person/group:
http://www.atlasats.com/index.php/en/
http://www.virtualcrossingengine.com/

Both use the same Content-Management-System for their websites, and by the skill they applied to change the default template iam sure the same has applied to the "beta-exchange" which hopefully not relies on the same "content-management-system".
Btw iam done, not helping to make a scam look better and nobody in this thread seems to be involved ...
