Hello, have all equipment ready with 1200w Power Supply.
Just need to buy Graphic cards, and can't decide what to buy

4x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11GB 352-Bit GDDR5X - 709.99 each
or
6x PNY GeForce GTX 1070 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 - 409.99 each

There wouldn't be option to add 2 more 1080 because circuit breaker wouldn't work correct with anything more powerful...

What are your thoughts? What would you chose and why? Or would you decide to wait for new graphic chips?

Why not go with 7x 1070's since it's equal to the price of 4x 1080ti yet you will get more hash in zec and almost 50% more eth.
Or your mobo does not support 7 gpu's ?

                ZEC    #Cards     Total
1080 Ti      740        4         2960
1070          450        7        3150

                 Eth    #Cards     Total
1080 Ti       34          4         136
1070           30          7        210

i just like the Ti for no good reason, maybe because the rig is smaller and takes less space.

Good Luck.

I would go 1080Ti. They will be the most future proof to new algorithms and coins and if all fails they will have the most resale ability in a year. They also give you more MH/s per square foot which is also good if space is a concern.

Depends on what are you trying to mine, if place/heat is an issue or not. If you're mining Ethash coins then i definitly recommend the 1070s, if not then yes the 1080ti is the better choice, it can efficiently mine more than half a dozen algorithms with many coins, and it should have solid retail value

Thank you for responses.
Yeah, my mainboard is limited to 6 GPUz, and i want to limit myself with 1200w of power consumption.
I'm looking more on 1080Ti's but also thinking whether purchasing them now or waiting to see what new AMD Vegas will be showing us...

Go for 1080ti because cpu intensive coins love nvidia, and there is more money to make on them Smiley
