Can someone help a complete idiot - me.

I've been thinking about bying into AirToken but what can I do with the AirTokens when I get them, the only thing I can see is that I can only use them to pay for mobile phone time/data using one of the two apps, Airfox Browser or Airfox Recharge ($10,000 worth of AirToken would last me several lifetimes talking on the phone) and why no Windows/Linux wallet ?
My question is, can I sell AirToken for some other altcoin or fiat, and how would I do that.

We are launching AIR as an Ethereum ERC20-compliant token for a more efficient and
decentralized mobile ecosystem across carriers, advertisers, publishers, and users.

1. Users​: Access to mobile capital via micro-loans and advertisers. AIR will be used as the
ledger of record for the user’s smart-phone data and personal information. Users will

to target and reach the unbanked prepaid subscriber. Advertisers and programmatic
networks can also choose to directly sponsor all or a segment of users with AIR for
opt-in, attention or engagement.

4. Publishers:​ ​Publishers will have higher monetization, new user reach and a better user
experience. Publishers can implement our AIR reward, micro-loan and advertising
system to enable higher user output. Publishers can offer an in-app purchase, digital
products and physical products as a microloan. They can also allow users to one-click
buy their services using their AIR balance. Advertising-based publishers can also reward
the users with AIR for being active users or by creating an actionable moment within the
publisher's application, website, or other software capable of AIR integration.

AirFox intends to the funds raised via the token sale to buy data in bulk, develop the micro loans
program, and expand its consumer-facing business worldwide. AIR will be used across all of our
platforms and products. AIR will first be contained to the Browser and Recharge apps,
eventually we expect to open up the token to external publishers and advertisers in order to

All very interesting, but simply ( and may I say lazily ) quoting the white paper did not answer my question - I think I'll give this ICO a miss.

When you intent to provide micro loans with your platform, wouldn't it be better to have a pegged currency for that? Or how is volatility being coped with?

The short answer is that nothing is really pegged, and some of the fiats of the world are actually the most volatile currency. Especially in some areas where mobile use is most expensive.

It is an ETH-based ICO and token. It will interact with an ETH smart contract throughout the sale, completion, and creation. Use of other currencies is not impossible in such situations, but it generally does add complexity and some processing delay on non-ETH currency, which can cause some to miss the sale if they decide to use something besides ETH to deposit. These, and other factors, are part of why the decision was made to go with ETH only.
