Making profit day trading but losing opportunity short term

The situation is that i am making small profits day trading. Cant completely say that its day trading but i buy coins and sell them in 1-3 days when price increases. But whats happening now is that the coin i sell keeps increasing after me selling those coins and thats why i am missing opportunities on short term. Is there any solutionso that i dont miss those opportunities.

you said it yourself, every day it keeps increasing so you have to be keen on the coin you are trading. You can always see if the price is starting to decrease then thats the time your can trade but remember you have to watch your coin. Cause it'd be useless if you are always panic selling and you see the price is still increasing. Better make ur short term at least 3 days or a week. Nothings gonna happen if you think you can think you could profit in just hours or a day. Always in this trade its in the long term

In my opinion it does not matter,
  If you have decided to trade daily you should continue to hold it and should not feel regret, because the sudden price increase is sure to happen, but you should continue to monitor your coins so there is no more more regret.

With bitcoin, regrets are unavoidable as you cannot expect exact high levels. A possible solution to you could be, switching over to long term holding. Holding for years covers all the peaks yet you may miss profits from riding ups and downs.

I am a long term holder and I never need to worry about missing opportunities in short term..

Yes you are right. But i am not panic selling my coins. I just sell them when the price is high enough for me to get some profit. I know good profits needs more time but i trade on a regular basis and so i dont just buy and hold. I ride along the waves and make small profits.

No you don't miss that opportunity as it happens most of the time. Think of it if you hold it and wait for long time how do you determine when you will sell maybe you will lose profit or gain some profit. What you did is ok for short trade you make profit thats it .Don't aim that you will sell in the ATH because we don't know when it will be and in what exact price.

I'm also a day trader and I think we have traded at some point of time.I also have the same issue when it comes to bitcoin trading.It is such an asset that grows rapidly compared to other assets u see in the share market.I would like to share a strategy that I think will help u profit more as a person.
1.Invest your own money in Btc for a long term i.e. obviously have to be the money that u can afford to loose.
2.Take a loan with lower interest to use it for daily trades.In that way u can make sure u are not regretting on those short term gains.

It all depends on what information you have. If you sell right after the price rises, it means you are waiting for pump and you are afraid of dump. If you know well that coin and if the dev team is active or not, you would probably believe in long-term growth and not sell after the first price jump..

It's because you don't take risks and sell them when getting profits, before you sell your coin better to read the trend whether up or down you can also see the volume and graphics to ensure your actions.

If you are making consistent profits day trading, then well done.

Stop focusing on coulda-woulda profits. Yes, sometimes the coins keep rising, but sometimes they fall too. You've probably filtered out the instances when there is a pull-back.

Because on altcoin market in this week have situation control the price by whales, most ICO token are pumped to high price, only old altcoin pumped in few months ago has falldown every day. So very difficult for predict in short time the demand in this week, unless you are day trader and check the supply and demand every day

At any point in time, you don't know what will happen in the future and that's why we are all humans. So, the fact is you have made your profit let's someone else also do same. The decision to sell was made by you and by you alone so you should be responsible for your decisions. Also, to be a great trader is not to make the whole profit but to make less loss which I see you are doing greatly at. So keel it up and bother less on what will happen after.

because you're a day trader, thats what you'll get dude. If you're a long term trader, You'll keep calm when the price is rising. How about this way, decide a good entry point for your coin, and specify the spot to take profit. But dont cash out All your coin, so if the price keep rising, you're still have a good entry point, even with a small mount. You just need to specify your new entry point. There is absolutely nothing the matter with day trading as long as you have a good grasp and feel of the ecosystem of coins you're dealing with and no need trying to master all the coins, usually it's the fewer the better. And then the fact you are a day trader does not imply you must place some order every day, your trading decisions has to be guided by facts. well if you are gaining out from your style why bother yourself if the coin keeps moving up, better to be thankful that you got some gasp of earnings than being sorry of your mistakes of selling when you are at loss, we do have different attitude in terms of trading style but what is matter is we do it correctly and we are getting some earnings out of this activity.

Just use stop-loss system or function which you can set your order. Just type the figure you want to sell and the target price you want to sell. The advantage of it is, you won't lose the opportunity. Because the sell order feature can prevent you fron losing huge amount. You can also set your selling point. Which can give you assurance that you won't lose huge amount. It will automatically sell your tokens at the fiugure you enter.

Many day traders has making great profit from trading by following their strategy. Long term holding  Is a very good strategy but not for everyone. Some Traders like me learned day trading and I am OK with my success rate. We should also look at holding a position too long even when price is going against our position. Most times long term traders lose huge amount because of this. Though since I have read others view I will try to learn long term trading strategy.

I'd also point out to you and others that aside from trading altcoins,
you could be making enormous profits just by holding bitcoin.  Why take

Yes what you have said is absolutely correct. I had heard somewhere that we should look at the small profits and collect them rather than waiting for huge profits and thats why i trade on short term. And yes it does gives us experience and i have learnt alot form these experiences and try to not repeat them.
My aim is to ride the short term waves while holding it for long term.

Yeah you are right. Day trading gives us a lot of experiences and thats what helps us in the long run. I am able to hold the position for long but the fear of losing money drives me out crazy. I recently bought DGB at 600 and now its at 300 and i am hoping that it rises soon as i will not sell it under a loss. I will wait for it to recover its price and then sell it. Most of the altcoins are going down these days and here i am stuck with my money on DGB.
