I just went to MtGox as the claim page is back up and running. So I filled out the requested information . . . and when I submitted, I received the following message:

"The password for this account is invalid, or this account is not currently under claim process."

In other words, somebody has already beat me to the punch and taken control of my account . . . OR . . .  wait for it . . . everything is ok!!!! I think?!!!

Well golly gee, this is just freaking splendid!

WHAT A DIVINE FARCE THIS HAS BECOME!!!!!!!

Hopefully the Mt. Gox team will legit(ly) review every claim and check simple information such as IP's etc. But honestly I doubt they actually do review every claim...

Actually, I think it means you input your old password incorrectly.

try channel #mtgox on freenode. MagicalTux (operator of mtGox) is there now. Check front page of bitcoin.org for instruction of how to get there.

I've been getting the same error all day (when I could get a request through) and am pretty sure I'm using the correct pwd....though not 100% as I did change it during all the excitement of the leaked user account info with hashed pwds.

I put a support ticket in at mt.gox. No word yet. I'm prolly #59,998 in line.

I sure as hell hope they dont open the exchange once some sizable proportion of people have their account back. It should be only opened once 100% of the people who say they want their account back are able to get in (via support ticket or this silly claim thing).

I'm really getting cramped up about the idea that the exchange will open for trades BEFORE i'm able to get into my account.

Say it wont be so Magical Gox!

Oh hell, what am I thinking??? There's no way the site is ready to handle the flood of people who will be hitting it when trading does resume....oh and there will likely be a few more DDoS for shits and giggles...so....I guess getting cramped up about not having access to my account at the onset (whenever that might be) is sort of futile.

There is absolutely no way that that is the case. I've got the thing written down, just in case. Have tried multiple times to no avail.

Fair enough. I put in my old one, typed my new one twice, got the message that it wasn't secure enough.

I typed another new one twice then got that password invalid/everything ok message and realised I had forgotten to capitalise my old password.

Gox has added a forgot password option to the claim page and that allowed me to get past this snag. Thanks!

Is anyone getting a "No user with email address ***@***.com?" error?
