When is a good time to invest in altcoins?

I recently purchased bitcoin with the intention of spreading the investement in 10 altcoins which i have researched and then leave the scene because this investment is for the long term.

However im seeing that bitcoin is still increasing in price, should I wait until bitcoin price stabilizes until investing?

And one thing I didn't consider was that should I keep some bitcoin in the end instead of investing all in altcoins?

Altcoins for short time , hold BTC for long term.And my suggestion to invest at a dropping time.

for a newbie in trading, diversifying your bitcoin to 10 altcoins is good and practical way to minimize your risk of loss and maximize your earnings in trading altcoins. it is the safest thing to do but if you want to earn big then you shuold risk big too. concentrating on one altcoin at a time gives you the chance to earn more in a shorter span of time.

Yes I agree with you, it is better for beginners maybe better concentrate on one or two altcoin. Choose altcoin that has good potential in the future so even if there is a downward price correction it does not need to worry too much because if altcoin is good then the price will rise later.

If the project is really good , team members looks so promising and skilled i think there is no bad time to invest in for long term. But if we talk about short term short term is really hard to find a good time.

Basically never put all of your eggs in one basket when dealing with the world of bitcoin. Always have some lefover/ as a backup if bitcoin prices soar. I wouldalso love to invest in an altcoin so that was a smart idea to buy bitcoin and split it into 10 different altcoins. I am probably going to start with 10+ as well due to the fact that if you also do not take risks this world will eat you alive while you watch others make what you could have had.

Yes, right now i am holding some Waves, Ethereum and Bitcoin (and no more than $20 on BitShares) i am planning to diversify it a little more, i trust in Waves but i think that it is too early for a big pump.
I will sell some waves and buy another altcoin, or just holding more bitcoins, i think that is the best way.
Altcoins all are in red now, it is not a good time to buy, so be away from them until bitcoin makes a correction and buy then.

You are saying that your plan is for a long term investment. There is no need to wait for some stability before you have to buy. I assume that by long term you are referring to at least a year of holding. That would be really good already for all the altcoins you are holding.

Well the fact that bitcoin now is $4000 but some alts are really in red days and I think this is great tu buy some coins like eth and xrp as now is having some dips. Diversify your coins and yeah you should focus on 2-4 alts for you to grow them and watch the market.

i think its late unless the new comer, the best time is ico or pre-ico as well as the dump market new coin break out, many people will never keep the coin which price is not cheap

This is a good time to invest in some altcoins, if seen now altcoins prices are dumped because BTC prices go up, I am sure you will be able to get big profits. This is just a suggestion, the decision is yours.

Yes beginning in investing it is much better to start with 2 or more coins and take a study for all of this. And altcoin i good to invest but it is always depends. So be positive no matter what happen.

When you see its red and there's a big dip in their percentage then that's the great time to buy. Take that opportunity as well so you can have a good profit and if you will hold this for long-term

That is right. Hold your gun for now. The market for bitcoin is too bullish. Most of the alts are at the receiving end of the negative effects. Just wait for the alts to continue going down and then buy. They will come at a cheap price for sure with bitcoin very aggressive.

If most trader think this time is best time to buy potential altcoin, altcoin market still continue falldown to lower price. Because the whales want most trader fearing about the future of altcoin and going to Bitcoin for replace them.

here is what i have been doing all these years:
i have invested my money in bitcoin a couple of years ago when price of bitcoin was about $200 and kept it. then each month of generally whenever i get some extra cash, i invest that in bitcoin too no matter what the price is. i just bought some last week.

now from that amount i have dedicated a certain amount for trading altcoins. that amount was chosen based on what i feel safest with. it doesn't matter how much it is, the important thing to remember is to choose a number that you feel safe. and then start trading altcoins with that. and the rest is always in bitcoin and will be held in cold storage for long term.

i have been happy with this strategy and i am earning well enough to be satisfied.

It is better to buy coins when it is cheap so you can really feel the income when you sell it in a high price but when it comes to bitcoin people think it is impossible for now that bitcoin will go down so you better keep your bitcoin because the price may get higher.

You should consider holding BTC if you had. Keep track on the rising trend of BTC's price and surely you would not regret it. BTC always fascinates me with it's capability to pump really hard in just a couple of days. No other coins can do that.

I think you should buy a coin when the market crashes (when that coin is being dumped).buy a coin which you know that will surely rise up again. Right now you can invest in ETC and ETH. Both are in red currently.

As stated by the above mate investing into altcoins need to be done when the price crash happens. Majority of the altcoins easily grow with regards to the availability and the market exchange value. This might help the user get at least an small profit for the investment.

You still have to watch out you're not buying some dying altcoin...which is one of the reasons coins go to all time lows...
But then again, they sometimes do get revived and profits are juicy.
