two largest image messaging social applications, Instagram and Snapchat. Debuting in
2010 and 2011 respectively, these two applications have revolutionized social
networking.
Unfortunately, both of these applications have experienced security flaws that have
resulted in the leakage of user-sensitive data to unwanted third parties. In addition, an
increasingly privacy-savvy world of users are seeking more transparent organizations to
handle data and messages. With the power of smart contracts, a powerful, open source
application can be transparent with its user interactions.
