and understanding of this revolutionary idea, however, the sky does seem to be the limit.

I personally believe that $10,000 could be possible only in 2019, frankly. Before 2019, I don't expect it to reach $10,000. Maybe it can try to hit $7,000 in 2018. That's all I believe for bitcoin prices.

I think that long term wise, bitcoin can literally go anywhere.

But right now, it has simply increased too much too soon.... I'd be careful with investing a lot more right now since the pumps have already come. Of course, the segwit activation probably will increase the price level even more but idk, it just doesn't seem very sustainable atm.

$10,000 is going to be 2.5x the current price, I do not think that this is going to soon. Or at least in this year.

In 4 years, $10k would be a piece of cake.

The price of bitcoin is already 4000 dollars and I hopr it will increase more so we can make a lot of profit in the future. More bitcoin that you have more money to come with you. And I suggest to those people have bitcoin in their wallet you can hold it for few months to make more profit. I believe the price of 10000 dollars each bitcoin will reach on the the year of 2018 to 2019 because that price is very high.

I personally believe that $10,000 could be possible only in 2019, frankly. Before 2019, I don't expect it to reach $10,000. Maybe it can try to hit $7,000 in 2018. That's all I believe for bitcoin prices.

There is a possibility that maybe in 2018 Bitcoin will still continue to rise but in a different manner as what we witnessed this year. 2018 can be its banner year but there would be more stability and little reduction in its volatility. But reaching $10K can still happen maybe towards the last quarter.

Note: All of these discussions are just speculations and no one can really be sure of what can happen in the coming months. All we can do is hope or wish that things will be smooth for our friendly and ever-active Bitcoin.

This place is an echo chamber. The same conversation happened after $1000...after $2000...after $3000. What's new now? The pace of things probably. To go from $1000 to over $4000 in less than a year feels way unrealistic. But we've gone on 3x runs before, yes? From $200 to $600, no problem!

We should stop talking about what the price may get to and start talking about how we get more new people on board with this thing. If we get more people to adopt this thing the question of whether we'll hit $10000 will be meaningless.

if you are waiting for $10K to happen overnight then you are putting yourself through hell because it will take a long time and during that time there will be a lot of bumps on the road. price can not just go up that high in a short period without forming a huge bubble and nobody wants that.

apart from that, there is always going to be some kind of drama in bitcoin that will slow down the rallies. we have been seeing a 3+ years old scaling debate and how it has affected the price so far. and there will be a lot more (different) drama in the future. many don't want bitcoin to succeed and all they can do is slow it down.

I love namwonh's enthusiasm but emotions tend to be a trader's undoing. With it comes mistakes and from these mistakes come losses. It's better to have a smaller net profit than taking a huge risk culminating more losses.

Dont be misguided by these hype threads. Sometimes the thread starter bought at the high and hes now having losses.

Bitcoin goes through exponential growth phases, we may be starting one now. 10k would be on the low end, think more like 30k - 60k.

Google 500 billion

Bitcoin 60 billion?

Bitcoin has more potential then them 3 companies put together x10.

I think it is impossible for it to reach $10,000 right now but then again, bitcoin proved me wrong many times for thinking that 2000$ is the roof price that it can reach this year so I will say that it is possible for bitcoin to reach $10,000 this year but the probability of it happening is quite low in my opinion. It will have a greater chance of reaching the said price if the upward trend continues.

$10,000 per coin is going to be an easy goal to achieve in say, 5 years.

I'm definitely not sure whether or not it's going to be achieved this year. If it was 2 days ago i would have dismissed you as a person who is overly optimistic, but now that the price is at $4100+ it's a completely different story.

Still though, it is unlikely. There is a chance that it's going to happen, not much. It is much more likely that IF bitcoin goes up any further, a correction will soon set in and basically make the bubble burst.

And even if the price goes to $10k this year there is nothing to celebrate about. It's either a fiat collapse, or just a plain old bubble in the mania phase.

$10k per BTC may just be a joke. Personally I don't believe such an expansion but there are some people who "predict" $1m per BTC in 2030AD. Feels naturally unrealistic to me, for the price to boom up .. eh, that's just 240 times x now .. that high, but $10k will happen someday inevitably. Maybe even next year.

generally speaking $10,000 was always in sight. it never went anywhere even back in 2013 or 2015ish after the bottom of $200. that price has always been the "target".

but i wouldn't rush to conclusion and open up champagnes! it is still too early for that kind of rise if we want a generic and stable rise not just a bubble which never lasts.

this month we can easily start testing the waters around $5000 and then see where things go from there. but probably it won't break and price will fall down to early $4000 levels again. and this can take a couple of months until the SegWit2x drama and that event will determine the 2017 price. it can easily be a smooth fork or 0 fork both leading to $6000+ price or it can be a lot of drama and another drop and bear market keeping price low at $3000 range.

If you look at how the current bitcoin develops then you will believe that bitcoin will have good prospects in the future. You must be sure that bitcoin will be a very valuable item and also has a very high value, even beyond 10,000 $. Maybe a few years this could be achieved, but it could happen just a few weeks ahead. All can happen to bitcoin.
