Type get mininginfo into the console to see the network hashrate.  Cheesy

getmininginfo only returns your miner's hashrate. I wonder how to get the total hashrate of the network.

Yeah sorry I noticed the same afterwards. Some coin clients return the network hashrate, thought it was 'standard'...
