That is too much for a fee. Well in our wallet in philippines it can cost up to .009 just for a high transaction speed. And the low priority can cost up to 0.003 BTC per transaction. There is alot of transactions that are going on the blockchain. Just use blockchain as a wallet so you can make the fee into custom. (It will takes days if your fee is too small for what you are sending.)

900,000 satoshis? What PH exchange is that? Can you show some proofs here? The highest fees I have seen based on average fees to some PH exchanges since bitcoin price breached $2,000 level is around 300,000 but not more than 500,000 satoshis.

Also even if the fees will play only for let's say 50,000 satoshis, as long as bitcoin price is increasing, then definitely the value of it will be high too. Try not to stick with it's value since we are talking about bitcoin here hence 50,000 satoshis value today can be double or tripled on the other day. Our concern here is the bitcoin quantity.

why you can't find the desktop wallet to use it for signature campaign earning or any other option you use the online wallet as of now. I have Coinbase as my Signature earning and I group together for 4 weeks and taken out but still I worry about fees to me.

Just now make a withdraw from Bitgrail and it take 0.00133153 BTC ($5.49 ) as a fee !! (https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/cdf1dc891dfc0bd827b3b4f442ab5095e5073486bce9711fde859da7fccf7ecb) Oh my God! I think it's too many fees for a transation. How to overcome this high fee? Do you follow any special tips to overcome high Bitcoin fee?
Badly i need to know any good tips about it. Someone help me please.
Best regards
Mkmanik

I think this charge is reasonable and necessary to maintain Bitcoin's performance. You know that the fee is paid to the BTC miners for their work. The rising fees are due to the high prices of Bitcoin and the faster time between transactions. I advise you to less complain about this fee or you can view it as a taxpayer you have to pipe to the government.

But bitcoin segwit activation takes care of this tx fee problem by lowering the fees right?

Miners prioritize which txs get included in the 1MB block based on the fee, so transactions with higher fees get included sooner.  By reducing the amount of space each tx takes up, there can be more of them per block. So yes, the result of this should be a decrease in the tx fee.  However, as bitcoin grows in popularity and there are more and more txs, 1MB per block will really start to slow things down and increase fees again.
As demand grows then it makes sense for the fees to go up, segwit has arrived a little late to the party but this is because the miners did everything in their power to avoid segwit activation the next issue is to activate the lightning network since that will give off chain capabilities to bitcoin.

You guys really need to keep your coins on a wallet that lets you customize fees because for some reason all these exchanges and sites are artificially pumping them up. You could get a transaction into a block right now with very low fees.

Novaexchange has a commission of only 0.0005 per output transaction. Bitcoin is now profitable for those who make large transactions. It is necessary to wait for November, when they will accept SegWit.

The fees increasing due to legitimate demand is perfectly understandable, but what is happening right now, is that on top of the increased demand for block space, Bitcoin's network is heavily being spammed right now.

Every time the intensity of these spam attacks is reaching newer highs. At this point, even SegWit being fully operational can't change things when it comes to full blocks.

As long as whatever idiotic and harmful entities can justify spending loads of money into spamming Bitcoin's network, we won't be moving forward unfortunately ~ it's mind boggling how far some people are willing to go.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

The whole purpose of bitcoin was to avoid a 3rd party while doing transactions.
And somehow by god knows what karma it seems we are getting back to square 1. Actually -1.

Bitcoin was supposed to work without fees from a bank or payment processor now people flock to exchanges and online wallets and then argue about fees.
Why, for god sake do you use those services with those fees in the first place?
Use a normal wallet that you can control, where you know your coins are safe and from which you can send a transaction with the fee you want.

You are correct, that's one of the main reasons I am considering to shift from mycelium. I don't why but it's suggesting me 400sat/byte as the normal fee, while If I check it on blockchain.info wallet it literally just recommends 30 sat/byte.

I think it is because of the number of people using bitcoin right now. It has been increased over months since they have believed in bitcoin. The number of cryptocurrency users is now very big. Well, at least it is still cheaper than 2 months ago.

And unless when you send a transaction through an normal wallet , we should not specify a commission?
If you send a transaction with a small commission, the transaction will hang, and may not get into the block.

We can only hope that the upcoming LN or even Segwitx2 would eliminate high transaction fees to a certain extend! It's definitely possible to use a lower transaction fee for wallet that let you enter a custom amount but still a tough call on receiving it in the next 10 minutes.

I agree with this, I know that is easier to open an account in an online wallet but if you are unable to adjust your fees then you may pay a big fee especially if you receive a lot of transactions there since the fee is going to become a lot larger the bigger the number of inputs you have.

that is because the bitcoins price is increasing and as a result the transaction fee will also be increasing. i think its normal and their fee is still low compared to other exchange site like livecoin.net in which their withdrawal fee is friggin high it roughly cost 0.002 to make such a withdraw, that sucks and my bitcoin balance their is stuck because of this high transaction fee. i suggest that you transfer to another exchange sites which has a cheaper fee or better stick to your wallet.

google tells me that bitgrail is a small exchange!
if you paid 0.0013BTC in fees then there is nothing you can do about it, you can complain to that exchange why they are taking that big a fee from you. or stop using it and use another exchange that takes a smaller fee for withdrawals. for example i heard that poloniex and bitstamp are taking 0.0001BTC fee!

Poloniex is the crappiest exchange you can possibly find though..
-Bad Customer support
-Full of horror stories
-Money disappearing
-etc

Regards,
Trump
Do you know why they do that ? My friend its so far about ticket support not answer from admin poloniex , I want to trading on poloniex but I'am so confuse about Support so bad and money disappearing . Can you tell me where I can Trading for comfort about Support admin exchange ?

The lightning network is what we need the segwit2x does not bring any benefit, it seems the miners just want to fork the network to keep their power games going, the lightning network is going to make possible for bitcoin to accept a lot of transactions per second without the need to create bigger blocks.

Hi ,

You can use Wallets Instead like coinpayments which only charge 0.0002btc as transaction fees , There may be some other bitcoin wallet with lower fees .
There are also some bitcoin trading platform which take Low charges .

So You have many options .

Rising prices of bitcoin should not be a reason for the ultra high fees being charged by exchanges. Confirmation times are still not that quick, unless you made a transaction during off peak hours. Opting for another wallet where you can choose the amount of fees would be the better way to go moving forward, while we wait for significant changes brought about by SegWit activation.

really, if we use poloniex and bitstamp very small transaction costs, we better use poloniex and bitstamp so that we do not always harmed at the time of transaction. my friends have also used poloniex and bitstamp the result is very satisfactory, they take 0.0001 BTC when transact.
