Also had to RMA my AsRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0, was DOA (CPU fan and GPU fans were spinning, no POST). Angry
Second one I got worked really nice tho!

It sounds silly, but make sure the CPU 12V is plugged in all the way. When the fan spins but I get no video from Igfx or PCIe then that is usually the cause. if that doesn't work try clearing the CMOS or trying a different RAM stick/slot.

And what if I have been running 1866mhz ram and it required 1600mhz ram for 2 years. Grin
For some reason .. maybe where I bought the ram.. there was a mix up. I know not to put the wrong ram in.
It could have been a mistake by asrock too on the compatible ram.. 2 yrs ago.
O mine burned out from putting one card without power riser.. BTC 81 PRO. Then I got BTC 81 PRO ver2.
And won't show bios.. now I know why.

EDIT: Got it working. Cheesy
I should have stuck with the golden rule. Look for the easiest things first.
My hdmi cable I was using to access the onboard graphics... is bad.

Sorry to revive this, but do these boards need power to both the 24 and 8 pin ATX connectors?
