In the old thread some people wrote the coin have problems with botnets minning the coin.

Hello everybody, I think every coin (if he is using a CPU mineable) can exposed to a botnet. Maybe we could think of building a pool for little hashrates. This could be discussed and voted on by the Communtiy.
Regarding the new thread. With these we want a new start of Zoin. We are not the theme starters of the old thread and could not edit the announcement. Perhaps the admin / mod can close the old thread?

Hey guys, y the new thread? old one was working was it not? here to help? ok about a month ago when we switched to the new wallet version (i believe it was when we went from 8.7.4 to 8.7.5) and things were 'helter skelter' for a while what happened to our old balances? lost about 600 zoin no one has ever replied to. would appreciate knowing what happened and if they will ever be returned. but the mining continues. thx, shivad I think you mean that problem with pool. of course i can, when you have the old thread and don't have pssibility to make any modifications (logo for example) what do you do? NEW THREAD now it can be cool if you can read the old thread and join us in the slack to understand the specificity of ZOIN. i come from this same community and iam volunteers like others who will do translations ZOIN it's a project By the Community For the Community

There was a problem with database which got corrupted and Euro had to rebuild it, so we have lost some coins. So all coins that are on the pool are those which he could recover.

thanks, was able to 'cash out' and get those into my personal wallet. at least it wasn't a complete loss. wish the old forum woulda let us know to cash out befo the 'helter-skelter'. but i guess this is what we call it is what it is. so thanks for the help and we'll look forward to better mining and prices eh?
now if we could only do this same thing with Bitcore... lol.

Hey Shivad, well that is life, no one knows what will it bring and we have to live with that. At least we got some coins back. Now we are waiting for new core and wallet. Fingers cross for all Zoiners. Any time

BTC Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System BTC A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.
