Have been mining Zoin for a few days now. I quite like it, although you can't really buy anything (on any shops) with it right now :/
Are there any plans for getting some shop to accept Zoin?
Or is it mostly for private use?

I love that the devs are so active here, seems to be a great community.

YES i confirmed NO PREMINE NO ICO
sure only at the exchanges

ZOIN is a fork of Zcoin, today the price is very low but he will change
It is a project that had been abandoned by the former dev, today the community took over the project in hand and recruited dev to advance and achieve the objectives set on the roadmap, the current team is here http://zoinofficial.com/team.html

Do you mind to let us know when the recruited dev was starting takeover the project and working on the programming?

I love that the devs are so active here, seems to be a great community.

The final goal of Zoin is to be used as currency on a marketplace, we are a coin of anonymous type so it would rather for
customers who want to remain anonymous and that the information remain confidential with private and untraceable transactions.
I think the technology Zerocoin Protocol is the best solution for that.

The recruitment of the dev was difficult because we had little means and still a small community.
We are today very happy with the dev team that grows week after week around the 2 major dev @vijaydogra and @ajinkya.

There was a lot of preparation and negotiation before the development work because we were looking for competent dev but also committed for the long term.
They now work full-time for about 2 months.

we work with transparency and you can see it with the weekly report.

Got some results of Intel Core i7 7700K CPU ZOI mining performance
It's only 10% faster than Core i5 7600 so it's not a good solution for ZOI mining due to it's price

#    CPU model       Cores/threads       Miner       OS       Hashrate
       Core i7 7700K       4 / 8       cpuminer-opt-3.6.8       Windows 10 x64Pro       690 H/s

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

it's easier for us to use this format to post here, on the slack and twitter.

I totally understand, was not meant to be any criticism Wink

Thanks in advance.

https://github.com/zoinofficial/zoin/tree/VJ_changes

Citation of lead dev (@vijaydogra)
We are in process of changing few flow and at present moment it's not complete. So you can say there are few glitches which are being worked on.
As soon as those get fixed we will definitely push the same to git
Thank you to all of you to have patience which drives us to do more and in a better way !!

when will the proof of stake masternode be happening?

our priority is the release of the wallet, we move step by step.
many members contribute and participate with the dev team, it is on track

I invite you to join us and participate (questions, advice, notes....) on SLACK, do not forget that Zoin is a community coin.

It seems hashrate of two processors

....
Intel i7 6700k @ 4Ghz (4 cores, 8 threads) Hashrate of 590 H/s (Windows 10 x64)

Not very high, it less than i5 7600 (4/4)

....
Xeon E3-1225 v5

Thanks!

It seems Server 1151socket proccessors is the best for ZOI due to relation: price/hashrate/TDP

In October we will release the wallet
after that the dev team will be divided into 2
some of them will work on the mobile wallet and masternode system
and others will work in web wallet and web TOR wallet

So normally after the release, we should go faster especially with the funds that will be recovered from the pools

What did you do to ensure CPU only? There are bunches of GPU miner for lyra2. It's just the coin is not known enough so that someone would make a GPU miner for the specific flavor of lyra2
