Hello there. I did some research about this coin and still have some questions, hope you guys don't mind answer them:
What is zero protocol and how its performance of annonymity compare to Monero?
What is masternote and how do I benefit from it?
This coin is POW or POS? Why?
Cpu mining only means ASIC resistant?
It's just 10 month old but 14 millions coins were already mined (in total 21 millions). Why?

Its PoW - since new ZOIN's can be only minted by mining. 4. Yes it means ASIC resistant - GPU mining will become available when the algo lyra2z330 gets ported to GPU miner programs, with the current GPU's , mining is still very inefficient since the algo requires faster memory like -> L2/L3 cache that CPU's have. 5. Read how miners reward works: First 105k blocks were mined with 100ZOIN's as reward, then the reward halved to 50 - which will hold for another 2 months till we mine block 210k. That means the initial 10.5Mil ZOIN's were mined in the first 6 months and 5.75Mil ZOIN's will get mined with the current block reward 50. The reward will then split to 25 - 12.5 - 6.25... With each split adding value to the coin, since mining will become so much "unrewarding". |
