Hello there ,

i just knew about bitcoin today and i really like the idea , and downloaded the client at bitcoin.org homepage for mac 0.3.21 and windows 0.3.23 but i noticed that both are beta , while surfing the web for information about bitcoin i read something like beta versions are not generating any bitcoins , is that real ?
also what's the average time you take to get the 50 BTC for 210K blocks ?
