Question about claiming Bitcoincash

Hello I have a question, I have not claim my bitcoincash yet because I am waiting for Jaxx to add it but I would like to ask
if I have a bitcoin in Jaxx before the Aug 1 fork and after Aug 1 I send it to exchange and bought other coin can I still get my share of Bitcoincash .

i don't know how Jaxx works but if you have access to your private keys and if you really had any bitcoin balance in those keys before the 1st of August then yes you are the owner of same amount in bitcoin cash.

spending those bitcoins *after* August 1 doesn't change anything about how much BCH you own. it has replay protection which means your BCH won't be lost if you spend bitcoin or vice versa.

Thanks for the explanation as I am currently having the same issues as to claiming my BCH. But based on this explanation, it then means that even if I transfer my coin to a say blockchain.info wallet in other to empty the previous wallet by following the procedures posted by Theymos, am I still good to go or is there a threat whatsoever due to that since I will be importing my keys into Electron cash in other to claim the BCH.

If you send your btc to different wallet, and import private key into Electron Cash you are good. There is nothing that can happen to your BTC, if your private key gets leaked or smth like that only thing someone can steal is your BCH

Thanks for all the responses I will just wait for Jaxx to finally add Bitcoincash to their wallet so I can claim my free Bitcoincash anyway I am not going to dump it since I believe this coin has a potential and will eventually gain support.

you must wait until jaxx release and announcement
before announcement about bonus bitcoin cash you send out youre bitcoin balance i think you can't receive bitcoin cash

I don't have accounts with jaxx but I sold my friend bitcoin Cash for him today through poloniex. You should know that poloniex has just listed bitcoin Cash on their trading platforms. I think coveting bitcoin Cash to bitcoin core is the best thing to do they,  you can transfer it to fiat through local bitcoin.

I think you have to wait for the release and sowing of jaxx, it looks like you should read the rules from jaxx, than you will lose your own.
