Bitcoin as a graduation gift... what's a good way to do it?

Anyone have an idea? I want to give my sister a bitcoin for graduation. Should I keep a backup copy for her?

Paper wallet?  Or a physical bitcoin from the physical bitcoin producers? 

I have also sent bitcoins as gifts using Coinbase, you can send to an email address and the recipient has to create an account to  claim their payment.  However if it is unclaimed after 30 days it gets returned to you!

If she's not a Bitcoin person, it may be best to give her something a little more easily kept. I've done this for a young relative who doesn't even know what money is yet, let alone what the value of Bitcoin will be when he is old enough to open the box and spend it!

Get her a 1 BTC Physical Casascius coin and have it built into a cool snow globe so she can't spend it. (kind of like people who freeze their emergency cc in a block of ice in the freezer)

Who knows, might be worth a lot someday that pays off some student loan debt.

A quick and easy way is a paper wallet in a graduation card.

Include some links in the card for how to spend it:

I have looked into delayed transactions. It is possible but the client has to still be running at the time of release.

There's really no good way to do it. Most people end up spending them on drugs and gambling.

I think a physical bitcoin would be the best plan, I think these are what people are going to end up trading with the most in the real world really, no one's going to wait around for confirmations by trading on each others laptops etc.
