What a laugh. People are hyped after revealing that it can push up to 100mh/s and beyond. nvidia still wins the gpu race.

RX VEGA = EPIC FAIL i thought amd would glow up in new light of glory come back to the good old times amd had k6 prcoessor to fight against intel.... first threadripper i thought wow amd looks good to challenge intel since years if not dicades hehe then rx vega with specs of around 70 mh/s ethereum then the first downswing radeon vega FE a absolute shit card hehe and then rx vega same shit differnt name so in my eyes amd will loose more ground in gpu market compared to nvidia amd gpus for gameing hey come one there is i just know one game where they perform better than nvidia and this is a little to nothing... if amd would support the gamers they have to deliver a gaming card one thats in time 1080ti is along time on the marked vega should minimum reach same performance as this card in games with lower watts... no gamer will ever buy this rx veag thing that throttles like hell with 300 watts lol what a joke ppl dont buy rx vega its bullshit for mining and for gaming !!!! even a 1070 is better in gaming it just uses half of the energy think about it... in ethereum a 1070 is also better you can crazy undervolt like 60% and minus 100 mhz to core clock and still reach fullspeed in eth singlemining... sry4bad english iam usually only a reader not posting alot of things hehe too lazy but this time i have to warn the comunity dont pay 1000 of dollars for a stupid lazy lame card that has nothing fancy new hehe

Ive read from our local FB group that using the new AMD blockchain drivers boosts Vega's hashrates up to 40+ MHs.

Has anyone tried? Any news on this?

I don't think there is a reson to buy vega unless we get some huge improvements from miner developers along with amd team

Ya the hashrate is not high enought to justify building a rig with them

I though Vega 64 will be something amazing for miners, but it is not worth of that money.
My opinion that it will be tweeked maximum up to 50mh/s so again not worth.
Bad hashrate, big consumption, big temperature...what else to say?

There are still optimizations to be done  and the 56 and nano are still coming aswell.

Vega looks like not a massive competitor to rx series. So owners of rx series gpus will still be happy mining using existing gpus.

My RX470 4GB can reach 30mh/s, they got the shittiest card in the market if it only gave them 19mh/s

Ive read from our local FB group that using the new AMD blockchain drivers boosts Vega's hashrates up to 40+ MHs.

Has anyone tried? Any news on this?

There were a few videos on launch day that showed different people getting it to upper 30's and I believe low 40's, as in 42 Mh/s, but the power usage was unreal. They needed to crank Power limit up to the max and I believe they system with just one VEGA card was using close to 479 watts. Even accounting for system overhead, that is about a 10 watt per 1 Mhash/s ratio. Properly tweaked 1080Ti's or RX580's get closer to only 5 watts per megahash, so essentially to get those super high hash-rates the Vega consumes twice as much power as its nearest competitor. So unless you get free power it is not worth it. Even if you do get free power, the upfront price makes it not worth it.

I wouldn't use such device unless I'm offered free electricity. Maybe they will reveal better hashrate / power related bioses.

give it some time and People maybe tweak the Card for even better results.
but nvidia always had the upper Hand in the gpu buisness.
also i believe current Technology is very much at the Limit.

those graphs are for a far away (well not so far) epoch I believe...and without the dag fix.  So yeah, there wont be much speed loss.  I wish I could buy a god damn VEGA 56 or 64, and underclock and undervolt (if possible) the shit out of those cards.  I'm sure you can dual mine at 40mhs for 150w-200w, I can feeeeel it.  but in any case they are really expensive.
