https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/Radeon_RX_Vega_64/34.html

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx-vega-64,5173-16.html

And quote  Grin:

Some reviewer said that the hashrate is like on the Frontier Edition(36mhs?) which is nowhere near 70-100 Mh/s

Highly doubtful. Workstation cards are never as good as gaming models for mining. Workstation cards use a different memory cache intended to fit large files. The Vega FE uses a HBC.

Quote
High-Bandwidth Cache Controller

The state of the art memory system on Radeon Vega Frontier Edition GPUs removes the capacity limitations of traditional GPU memory. Thanks to automatic, fine-grained memory movement controlled by the high-bandwidth cache controller, Radeon Vega Frontier Edition processors enable creators and designers to work with much larger, more detailed models and assets in real time.

Hmm...I think sucks is a bit strong.

I think we'll see the initial figures change over the next month

Here's a decent review showing ETH performance...

It's still kinda early to talk about it but just like @Vyazhan says gamers can be happy for once in a year I think Cheesy.GPU mining has a powerfull effect on market so it's hard and expensive to get a graphic card for daily use.

Can an optimized driver or miner increase the hashrate? On the other hand, you can take on the perspective and get in the dispersal of 39-41 megahash until something has changed in the software or drivers.
Now the choice from AMD is not particularly great, may want to benefit from this.

You can make ROI on this card using it as a stoove, cooking breakfast eggs etc. So i think it still can be a smart buy.

I put ZERO faith in unproven benchmarks from new post wonders or tech reviewers. I'll wait until I see BBT's review on Youtube showing the actual card and settings used and the results before I pass judgment. Even then, just as with any new card, it will only get better once miner and driver compatibility catches up.

what are these settings: std, 2nd bios, powersave? Do these cards have BIOS switch?
Is powersave a software feature?

Once Claymore put baffin optimized kernels into his miner, secondary
coins saw 20-40% increase...and baffin is basically half the polaris, while
vega RX is completely new architecture
