Well considering the site that is only selling the gas coin has a monopoly I feel the price is controlled and a scam. How can the gas for the coin be higher in value than the coin itself. That would be a failed token/coin.

There's a chance that a huge amount of ICO-s are made and Dapps are created on NEO, driving actual GAS shortage. This could cause GAS prices to explode.

Until then, it's probably too expensive compared to NEO.

Exactly. Its driving GAS shortage. Gas price is a balloon. maybe will turn to scam who knows?

Well, I just checked: GAS is now being traded on number of exchanges, including Poloniex and Binance. The price is holding up, and in fact climbing. So the scarcity argument does not hold (any more), which is a good thing.
