Believe me, you have bigger problems than conhost.exe if you use that trojan crapware.

Any virus can be named to conhost.exe. Check where it's located/running from.

When you start mining software using *.bat file for the first time, firewall should interact with user. It has happened to me with Windows Firewall and I needed to whitelist claymore folder in order to start mining successfully.

As a Microsoft Administrator I can say conhost.exe is actually the name for Console Host Applications. Claymore miner is a console application so it is pretty normal it uses this name on Task Manager.

Comodo is a good firewall but I don't think it is the best one.

I guess that you're using Windows OS. It really doesn't have anything to do specifically with mining software whatever, the fact is that anytime you're using a batch file you are going to probably see that somewhere in your services or tasks or being run. That is the console, or what some people call the terminal. It is simply the way that the majority of the mining software initiates itself, if you open up the batch file with a text editor, you can see the lines that are being run.

With the exception of a few pieces of code in there that might be met pretty up the batch file, you could open the command prompt on your window, and type those lines one by one followed by enter and see the results. Now, that doesn't mean one hundred percent that everything is the way it should be. A background task could be a virus.

The best way to make sure that this is coming from your Miner is to open the task manager, take a look and make sure that the console is not running, start your Miner you should see it pop up then, and then manually shut down the miner, no more than 30 seconds later con host should disappear. If it does not then you may have not completely shut down in Miner or it may be from a totally unrelated piece of software that could be a virus.
