GetLine.in is an already existing and well-functioning bitcoin lending platform. In recent months, we have been building on it to decentralize and significantly scale the cryptocurrency lending.
We are on a mission to make blockchain tech eat the financial system.
Our goal is to disrupt the $200 billion peer-to-peer (P2P) lending market and eventually displace the legacy banking industry with fully decentralized P2P finance system.
We believe that blockchain is the technology allowing for safe, disintermediated, global, and truly P2P lending. This is why we propose a network where debt can be issued by any individual and funded by any investor, all in form of a secure smart contract.
GetLine Network will comprise of:
• smart contract layer, where the entire lending contract will be safely performed and settled;
• credit risk scoring network, made up of entities called Attesters of Risk Analysis (or ARA for short) providing risk-evaluation of borrowers’ creditworthiness and effectively forming a prediction market, and also serving as legal compliance agents, ensuring viability of each lending contract according to applicable jurisdictions;
• scoring system providing information on each individual ARA’s past accuracy to foster competition and allow lenders to evaluate each credit score’s trustworthiness, based on previous ARA’s performance;
• user-friendly GetLine Browser, allowing for future borrowers to easily apply for credit score and later for a loan, and investors to fund loans [see application layer section for more information];
• deflationary GET tokens, issued to align incentives in the network, help to fund project’s development.
Cryptocurrencies easily move across borders and could help to scale the market and achieve enormous network effect. Smart contracts ensure secure, self-enforceable agreements and move money without intermediaries. Blockchain networks can host robust, transparent and competitive prediction markets, that in turn have potential to assign borrowers credit scores much more accurate than today’s credit score agencies.
