If you look at it dollar wise, you have lost not much , if you lost half your satoshies, then so be it,  but bitcoin is worth twice as much, it is the same money. dollars are dollars or should I say value is value.

I personally look to better my BTC holdings, but am very tempted to just sell the hell out at the moment.

All in all , quit bitchin, if you bought some shit coins a month ago, they are worth just as much cash now, not satoshies, but the same dollar amount as they were then.

But, then again if you went full retard on some shit coins, the above might not apply.

 any thoughts?

Many alts have dropped more than 2 - 8x than what they gained during the pump periods which started from early March till July and everyone enjoyed the rides and thought that waiting more longer is an option, unless they got a red-hammered surprise over their investments and saw all those coins falling way too down towards hell. Wiser were those who managed to get out even in the worst situations that occurred in reds when the charts were painted south by those whales who invested their money and took those coins at such peaks.

It was obvious that the pump in altcoins would not last forever. People enjoyed the ride more then they're suppose to enjoy. Then the correction phase was coming, it was coming very loud. People who saw this, took their precaution and they withdrawn their assets.

Many people sold altcoins to buy Bitcoin in order to get free Bitcoin Cash. Also now that BTC was rising like crazy many switched to Bitcoin. But I think that things should now stabilize and altcoins will slowly start climbing up again.

Now that the 1st of August madness is over, and people have claimed their free BCCs, they'll start to invest in alts which will see the prices of alts start to climb again.

You are right and those who got out at the right time and just took their fill of enjoyment are the ones who enjoys it now. I personally enjoys the movements of market now and I hope my decisions made earlier was right. My thoughts about this is to just sell some percent of btc stash so that you, OP won't regret if it ever go down in price and vice versa.
