Dynamic Fee Bug

When I use the slider in electrum (both 2.6.3 and the new Android wallet) the fees for within 10 blocks and within 25 blocks are the same?

Is this a known error? (I'd update to the new version but it was causing problems with my computer).

And I encountered also that bug on the previous version I guess 2.8. I can't remember actually but as per mentioned you only have version 2.6.3, so..

You should update your electrum to its latest version which is 2.9.2 if I'm correct, that's the issue of previous updates of electrum.

Can you confirm what version you are using? 2.6.3 is before the fee slider even existed... it was added in 2.7.0

I assume you mean 2.8.3?

I actually don't know how there android app works I mean the sending with fees, but in that case you should update the app or use the desktop wallet of electrum if you are experiencing again with that issue better to report it,  the link was posted above by HCP or here https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues

By newly installed, I mean the night before I posted - and it was the new version in android as it had extra options that came with 2.9.0+ wallets.

It might not be a problem with the client but a problem with the server.

Dynamic fee gets the floating fee from the server. The mempool of every server differs from each other and in many cases, the estimated fee can differ from server to server. There can be two reasons for the same amount of fee:
1. Bug in the calculation of dynamic fee which results in the same estimation for a large range of block.
2. Core estimates the fees poorly and relays incorrect information. (My Core client currently has the same fee estimate for 10 to 25 blocks).

My dynamic fee in Electrum seems to be working fine, the fees are different at each point.

Now it seems the "2 blocks" and "5 blocks" values are the same in my Electrum, all others are different... Looks like it is just a quirk in the dynamic fee calculation that results in the same fee being use for a wide range of blocks as ranochigo has posited in #1

It likely happens when very large numbers of transactions are all using similar fees... as opposed to being spread across a wide range
