What mining card would be best for mining?

GIGABYTE TECH GTX 1080 TI 11GB GDDR5

ASUS TURBO GTX1080TI 11G / geforce gtx 1080 ti 11gb gddr5x pci-e 3.o

Also could i use an "old" i7 desktop pc to start mining or would you suggest getting a new motherboard +cpu as well?

I don't have any desktop pc available yet, this i will aquire after your advice.

Is there a startup guide for mining noobs?

Both cards are GTX1080Ti so the difference will be negligible at the same power consumption

....

Old MoBo, CPUs are good enough for mining - no problem

you can learn lots of info in here. and if i were iwoludnt take 1080. take amd rx 470 480 570 580. you can mine more efficiently.

the main costs are gpus in miningrigs. you can take cpu motherboard ssd very cheap according to gpus

If you have already the GTX 1080 ti you can mine Zcash with the EBWF cuda miner. Open up an account at zec.suprnova.cc and then one in Poloniex.com . Set up an  worker in zec.suprnova.cc, copy your Zcash deposit address from Poloniex and put it in the Payout tab in your zec.suprnova.cc account. Right click on "suprnova" file on EBWF cuda miner and edit it by putting your username and password in the respective fields there. CPU is irrelevant as long as its a dual core, and i7 is more than enough for mining.

You can also see a few videos on youtube if you are having problems following my steps above.

A GTX 1080 ti should make you about 0.00075 BTC daily mining Zcash with EBWF cuda miner.

So you are saying the card that costs half the price is better then gtx 1080? I don't have it yet but i dont mind paying 700euro for a card even if it is just a tad better.

Yes, normal gpu mining does not require high cpu spec. Old i7 is more than enough, as one of my mining rig with 1080ti is i3 only.

I am a bit confused here, i understand that having an i7 is more then suffice since it is more the gpu that does the work. But having a cheaper GPU is better then the 1080 that sounds weird.
