Hello guys, Very new to mining have not even broken my 30 days yet. However had a Question about power consumption. Took the advice from @MATHReX and modded all my GPUS. However power draw is fairly High. Roughly 992WattsMining Mhs Pic https://i.imgur.com/JWwdSsb.jpgSet-up Rx 290x Reference - I know old card a lot of Draw.. Rx 570 Rx 580 Rx 580 Rx 580 When using Sapphire Trixx I am able to adjust the Mv to -160 on all the cards, Which gives me roughly 865Watts, However after roughly 61hours or so of mining the program (Sapphire TriXX) crashes! (no idea why). I am now using MSI Afterburner, however I can only adjust the Mv to -100... Anyone have any ideas on how I can make this more Efficient? (Besides getting rid of the 290x) It's pulling 28/29mh/s.

R9 290x power consumption typical is about 300W, RX570-580 typical is about 150W plus about 100W of MoBo+CPU and you get about 1kW. of course you can Downvolted via BIOS modding. just try

The only good advice was before you bought them : buy only nVidia GPUs. Now, you have only one thing to do : sold yours AMD GPUs/hearters and buy nVidias GPUs.

My apologies guys for not providing that Information, was in a bit of a hurry.
PSU is a Corsair 1000W. Which is why I would LIKE to bring down the wattage a bit more IF I can!
Thank you to: @Civilufo, @CryptoWatcher420, @Umine. for at least proving some helpful feedback.
Back to my question that I never made.
On Sapphire TRIXX I can reduce the Mv to -160!, can MSI Afterburner go that low as well? or is that a big fat no?

There is a way to get afterburner to unlock the settings and give you more flexibility than stock. A quick google search will show you how to unlock it.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Indeed @Fanatic26, If you are referring to entering the Eula in the CFG file. I have done that already, However still the slider ONLY slides to -100mv.

Although I never try sapphire trixx, but I would recommend MSI afterburner, it is much well coded and stable. Because your machine total wattage draws very near to your psu supply, so you must control your gpu power limit or it will damage your mining rig. Have you mod bios of your amd cards? This is the most stable way to keep your gpu power low.

Indeed @Civilufo, All GPUs are modded. Except the power hungry R290x.
I will see if I can do some searches and see IF anyone has modded this card.
Using a MSI R9 290x 4gb (Elpida) (Reference Design)
Hopefully I will be able to find a ROM for this, since it's pretty old and probably not many people are using it to mine.
