I miss the times when we only had .com domain names, but now there are hundreds of them, even recently some projects started running their

ICOs for tokens which will represent the ownership of domain names and they're all decentralized, none are actually working and there are no real

Domain names whatsoever but still what they're promising is rewarding. does google owns .tube domains? I thought Tube domains were only for

Video hosting, if so then could we give and take loans by videos? Wink Cheesy

Google was originally bidding on the .Tube Extension gTLD, but LAT got the extension, and also got the Trademark for .TUBE.

Yes, Google bought .Tubes also.  BMW has http://BMW.tube.  Amazon, Microsoft and other big tech and Fortune 500 companies have bought .Tubes.

You can do any type of site with .Tube, but the branding theme focus was decided to be video entertainment and information sites and networks.

More info here:

http://Get.Tube

On your question in regards to ICO, yes could create Tokens.

The names looks to be promising for end users. Resellers are sceptical over the hue and cry over new gtld registries recalling domains and reserving them as registry premiums. There is also the issue of these new gtlds rising their renewal fees abruptly with a short notice.
Which registries are they registered with and what are the normal renewal costs?

Hi,

These are from our reserved inventory at the .Tube Registry.

The renewals are the same as the registration cost at most all of our Registrars.

You can check the initial and renewal fees for whatever Registrar you use on this link: https://tld-list.com/tld/tube

Also if you have a high traffic, high visibility .com site(s) that you can network a .Tube to, we can
construct a creative acquisition deal.

Yes, I was reading through namepros forum and there are many instances of these new registries taking back the registered names even after a year. Some registrars have already started not to deal with some ngtlds.

Wondering why ICANN is not interfering in these cases and also since ICANN gets a fee from each registration, why are they not ensuring a fair practice by the registries.

.Tube domains provide YouTube Channels with a BRANDABLE URL.

Instead of The Pilot Channel having to use this non memorable and non brandable URL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsXuZKOezixhyx0TStpmX0A

They can get Pilot.Tube or PilotChannel.Tube or ThePilotChannel.Tube

Looks interesting.

I found a couple of companies whose tube extensions arent registered.

Will they come after me if I buy their tube domain?

Don't recommend registering Trademarks on .Tube or any extension.  Usually the TM company will file a UDRP.

Best to stay with Generic keywords like the top keywords listed above.

Google indexes well on these names since YouTube makes money from the ads within the
video player and the name owners make money off the outer ads and ppc programs.
