Hey folks,

We're a stealth startup backed by some private funding and active since september 2012 in the Bitcoin world. Roadmaps goals have been met and we're getting out of "stealth mode" Our venture name is Labcoin and a website is in the process of being finished. We believe we came out with something interesting, therefore this is a kind request to get out the newbie status, in order to post to relevant sections. Thanks in advance and stay tuned for announcements on those avenues! Our aim is to help the awesome Bitcoin ecosystem to grow and stay strong. Go Bitcoin!

Cheers Everyone,
CEO

Nice try, Coinlab.

My name was simply a play on "Blue Engineer" from Team Fortress. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or the Azure project.

No.

Coinlab won't have a basis to sue you for trademark infringement unless you try to rip off their logo or something that legitimately threatens their business.  I think they just received $5 million in VC funding, so their probably focused on other things right now.

What is Labcoin?

Thanks!

Looks good.  Are you using Magento with the bitpay plugin for that site?

You are right, sorry for the typo, the correct term is infringement, i edited my post above. All your points are valid, i just want to add that they maybe concerned about our name being somehow misleading ?
BTW. Any mod care to get me out the newbie hell ?

Cheers
Samuel

Particularly in the ASIC mining space, the key right now is to get an actually functional product to market.  The name will ultimately be built on the reliability of the products associated with it, not the name per se.  Good luck to you!

I would say you should at least have a site up before you bring it to the forum, a product already made and ready to go to market would be good too. And a tip, find someone high ranking on the forum or a trusted media outlet to test your device, as there are many specialized hardware scams propagating right now. Also no pre-orders, destroys any validity you may have, anyone can shop pictures of a "miner" and have a video of it "working".

coinlab could point to its visibility, and argue that labcoin is attempting to mislead, and is diluting mindshare and goodwill of with the coinlab brand.  or something like that.  can you tell i'm just trying to use up my newbie posts.
