Hey guys how is everybody doing?,

Yesterday (Oct 31) and January 3rd are very special days to all of us from the crypto community, so cheers to that.

Karol is in Chile right now and ready to surf and represent Kore on the WSL Maui And Sons Pichilemu Women's Pro by Royal Guard which will happen from today to the 4th of November in the Punta de Lobos, Pichilemu, Chile.

Here is the link for the event: http://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2018/wqs/2834/maui-and-sons-pichilemu-womens-pro-by-royal-guard

While Karol is defending us on the waves the team has been working hard behind the scenes.

Thanks to all.

Go Kore, Go BTC.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Almost certainly today's price and volume are due to a pump call in some telegram group; in fact, just look at the dynamics of the price and the explosion of the volumes, always the same on other occasions.
If this were the price and the volumes within a week or so should be in line with the previous trend.

I ask Dev MikeMike to confirm what I'm saying or instead there are big news, agreements or partnerships that pushed today's price and volume.

Thank you!

KORE has no control over what people, investors, pump groups and whales do.
At least the KORE Projects are real and once we get this wallet we have been testing in our testnet released
we can move forward with the tech releases and get started on the next version of the wallet that will have the anonymous transactions and more.

A few things:
1-Smart money is getting back in the alts.
2-KORE wallet could be released in 3-4.5 weeks
3-People talk
4-Karol was on national TV for winning 3rd place in the WSL surf event..
5-KORE price is still severely undervalued.
6-?
7-Surf's Up!
8-Cheers!

I do believe that Kore price is really undervalued and it is an awesome option as an alt coin.

Yes, I believe that in addition to alternative currency, Kore has a very important purpose, which is to manage money securely and anonymously. So I see great potential.

the two things you mention are indeed very important, but the question is whether KORE can really do it better than all those others who are trying to do the same.

This is the KORE Projects goal.
We believe enough will be better to make the difference.
The proof will be in the pudding ... as they say.
 Smiley

The question is what is meant by managing money securely? I would say the large blockchains are all secure, BTC, ETH. Anonymously is a different beast, the actual technology for that will always be under scrutiny by experts.

I believe the person was meaning securely in Privacy.
IP obfuscation is one of the most important aspects in being "Private".
KORE does obfuscate your IP by integration of Tor.
This is why your KORE node address looks like this:
q22hcbsuaxtkugeo.onion
Instead of showing your IP that looks like this:
139.162.185.186
Taken from a well know coin claiming to be private and secure.

KORE will have various tech attached to it that will grow the network
because KORE will have a few use cases.
People can read the OP page to learn about them.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2096416.msg20949347#msg20949347

You'd be surprised to learn that Bitcoin needs more full nodes runnng
and there is concerted effort to encourage people to run full nodes which some
on the KORE Team that can do run one because we support Bitcoin.

People can help secure the KORE Network by staking some KORE and/or running a Masternode.

New Proof of Concept released for a critical intel chipset vulnerability, this PoC was able to sniff out openssl decryption keys meaning they could easily decrypt all the web traffic on that system. This PoC could be edited to take anything, literally nothing is safe on your intel based computers that have hyperthreading. Your wallet.dats are not safe, your work files are not safe. Even if your wallet.dat is encrypted, all they need to do is leave portsmash running on your system until you unlock the wallet and now they have your encrypted wallet.dat and your encryption key. To fix this you would need to go into your bios and disable SMT/hyperthreading

Great info Matrix.

Here is a few links of news outlets talking about it:

https://thehackernews.com/2018/11/portsmash-intel-vulnerability.html

https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2018/11/intel-cpus-fall-to-new-hyperthreading-exploit-that-pilfers-crypto-keys/

https://www.zdnet.com/article/intel-cpus-impacted-by-new-portsmash-side-channel-vulnerability/

Here is a link for the proof of concept on Git for who wants to check it out personally this flaw:

https://github.com/bbbrumley/portsmash

Intel really needs to fix those issues this is ludicrous.

! As advised by Matrix please disable hyperthreading so you are on the safe side of things until a patch/patches are released !

Have a great week everyone.

Cheers

To The Community:

This Intel chip Hyperthreading threat is very critical.
It was found just a few days ago and could take Intel some time to produce a fix if they can.
There is no word yet if AMD chips hyperthreading is also compromised.
This flaw allows for an easily created exploit that will allow ALL Encrypted data and passwords to be accessed.

Please take this seriously.
To disable this threat go into your BIOS and disable hyperthreading.

Ppl think that we are secure but once in a while these vulnerabilities come around leaving us more cautious about our privacy.

Wish they fix it soon.

I could see them doing both,

they have already destroyed their cpu's speed by ~60% with security patches, whats another 40%-60%
I can also see them not doing it and pulling a wordpress stunt and saying that its not SUPPOSED to be secure and it's working exactly how they want it to work and if you dont like it, just disable SMT

Yeah, you are right. It might happen in both ways, as the speed up (SMT) it could come with some issues otherwise it would be enabled by default.

BTW Kore is gaining sustainable value in the couple of weeks. Nice.
There is any news that justifies this value increase?

Matrix

Yeah, you are right. It might happen in both ways, as the speed up (SMT) it could come with some issues otherwise it would be enabled by default.

BTW Kore is gaining sustainable value in the couple of weeks. Nice.
There is any news that justifies this value increase?

Interesting.
Could you please point to a mini tutorial of how disable that function? is it enabled by default?

Here is a link for the proof of concept on Git for who wants to check it out personally this flaw:

Hyperthreading is enabled by default.
Go to your BIOS...

Restart your computer.
Press F2, F8, F5, F10, F12 or the Delete Key to get into your BIOS.
Go to Hyperthreading usually found in Advanced Options and Disable it.
You may have to go into another section to see the list that includes the Hyperthreading option.

Go to YouTube and search for:
Access BIOS
There are many videos on it but here is a typical one for F10:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCk8nhu45jY

Here is one on old multicore and Hyperthreading:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz_epYsJLvs

Use arrow keys and enter key to navigate and change.
Press F10 to Save/Exit and Y to confirm.
You computer will then boot to OS as usual.
If you make a mistake anywhere select N after F10
Your computer will boot to OS and will not save any mistakes you made.

You could also search for your particular laptop or desktop.
It is also in your Manuel if you have access to it.

BE CAREFUL!!!
