Though to be honest I find it very curious that something that was developed in the 70s and practically "finished" in the 80s that has been proven to be insecure is still the go-to for "verifying identity/ownership" to me it seems almost like it is purposeful these haven't been fixed in almost fifty years but maybe thats my inner conspiracy theorist talking.

There are several things I personally would like to try but frankly I dont have the time, resources, equipment, or low level understanding to get my ideas on this together. However, with OpenBTS being a thing, I think its only a matter of time before hardcore developers force security into the cellular protocol space.
