How can you tell if you are suffering from gambling addiction?

It's very easy to know.

1. You can't remove your thinking to the casino's, games and especially the profit.
2. Your hands are itchy if you can't gamble within the day.
3. You don't care of other things but only gambling.
4. You will find it out in a very easy way when you don't have anything left on your pocket because of gambling.

Ourselves can not know if we suffer from gambling addiction because who can see it is the people around us maybe we can know has been addicted to gambling when all our possessions have been exhausted. There is one reason i'm saying that because when we are suffering from gambling addiction and then we still have money or stuff that can be used to gamble, we never think about the bad impact we will get from gambling.

I think you can tell if someone is addicted to gambling when he/she can last a day without gambling. When he/she gets irritated if he/she is not able to play within a day and when he/she lost a game the person will use all of his money or mostly all money just to play and try to win back the losses.

When you want to stop yourself from gambling but your body still keeps on going or wants to do it some more then it's a sign that you could be addicted to gambling. It's similar to other addiction as well like if this activity consumes up most of your time daily or you're doing it more frequently than before. Another one is when you plan on chasing your losses everytime you start to lose.

Good question. But it is easy to know behalf of these point of views, that how much time you and any addicted person spend on gambling. If he spend a lot of time, in playing gambling and all the time he think and discuss about gambling and main point is that if he has wasted his money in gambling and also he has lost everything in gambling. Then i could say he is addicted gambler. Because every addicted gamble's hand empty and he has been lost everything in gambling.

Well i spend a lot of time at gambling but i dont see my self as an addict. Because for me an addict is he will do what it takes to make profit from gambling. Most if goes south then he would risk things that are beyond the limitations. Sometimes i admit i can be addict, but over the years i learned to control and handle losses. Because for most addicts they cant handle their habbits until it would go over board. So for me addicts are the one abusing and too much spending on things that is meant to be legal.

I think when a person begins to feel very unwell due to the fact that he can not play gambling, he suffers because of them. Some people know that this will lead to a loss of money, but they still want to play.

Its because greed , like me all this time everytime when i get paid from signature campaign . I use it for gambling , i tried to cure my addiction once and learning to trade but it seems doesnt work , so right now i still do gamble . It seems greed already consuming me

You are always feels curious in played gambling and think you can be win for next stage
but actually you can not do anything for the winning based on the lucky,
you are always play gambling with all of the funds without calculating the risk losing your funds
and you can not stop thinking about gambling on every activities.

When you think about gambling and gambling, when you can not spend a day without gambling, when you're willing to do anything to gamble. That may be a sign if you're addicted to gambling. Gambling addiction can be felt by yourself, you just have to be more sensitive to feel it...

You'll gonna notice it if you can't think of anything else just gambling and also if you're having eating disorder because you just want to play gambling all day. and one more think if you're sleeping and still dreaming of playing gambling. I'm one of the luckiest person in earth because I don't play gambling always, I'm just playing gambling if I needed to get some profit from it and have some fun.

I never get gambling addiction, but I ever see my friend who get gambling addiction. First, he have a lot debt and even lie to get a loan, he always chasing the victory to pay the debt so he gamble everyday, mostly gambling addicted lost everything, have short-minded so they just do gamble, and some of them if lucky, they will earn jackpot, but still definitely used again to gamble.

1. The person sets a limit of the only amount he wants to gamble but then loses control and spend more than the limit he has set. Or worse doesn't even set a limit.
2. The person is more likely to have mood swings or is irritated so easily when unable to gamble.
3. The person Can't live a day without gambling.
4. Willing to sacrifice time with loved ones just to gamble.
5. Selling anything of value despite how mich it is needed to sustain his gambling life.
6. Finally, insomnia due to overloading thoughts of gambling when lying in bed and doing nothing.

Those are what i see in most addicted gamblers(some are close friends).

Not to be a Debby downer but if your asking yourself this question, you more than likely are a gambling addict.

I am one. I don't compulsively think of casinos. I go weeks without even considering it.

Its when I do gamble its all or nothing. Even if it's once a year, I have no restraint. Thousands go down the drain.

Surprisely,  Im a mod at a casino. I just can't let myself slip up.

   You listed characteristics that addiction gambler have after years of addiction. I think creator of this thread wanted to hear early signs of
gambling addiction.
   Early signs of gambling addiction are forgetting about important things in your life cause of gambling, in beginning you miss important
things but how addiction progress you missing more and more life obligations cause of gambling, forgetting appointments or dates. Intense
bragging about winning at gambling, and that is become main topic, everything else is not interesting more.
   If anything from this happening to you, you are in early stage of gambling addiction. You still did not start to borrow money for gambling,
you sleep nice, you do not have problems cause of gambling yet, but that will come if you continue with same activities.

The minute you can't stop gambling I guess but mostly when you lose everything and you will lose everything. This is not that may occur but a fact, I personally never met someone who have gambling addiction and he is rich, gambling is never good and you will eventually find yourself at the bottom.

Well in my own point of view, you will know if a person or you is suffering from gambling addiction if the person who plays can't stop playing or cannot control himself and if he is always in the casino you will see that he is already addicted in gambling. Being addicted in gambling is not a joke so if you feel your addicted you really need to change your hobbies.

Most likely you wont able to tell specially when you are under on such gambling addiction.You wont really mind these things for sure and instead on realizing the things that you have done you will still dont matter at all as long you do satisfy yourself on such addiction. You will just notice that you are severely addicted to gambling when you dont have already money on your pocket to play on.
